Brazilian artist @HenriqueAugurs drew on coverage from more than 30 sources, including the BBC, Al Jazeera, Associated Press, Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders.
Presented in Lisbon as part of Still Here, The News condenses nearly two years of reporting into a video lasting just one minute and 38 seconds. Headlines about destruction, hospitals and children give way to nighttime footage of Gaza, followed by news articles questioning what hope remains. The film closes with the silhouette of two figures accompanied by the words “daring to hope.”
