"Experienced, independent local reporting"
Sounds an awful lot like my brother @KasselMedia. Been on the beat for close to a decade and is as well-connected as you can find in NorCal. Follow his (and sometimes my) writing at bayprepsinsider.substack.com
High school sports participation is at an all-time high. Local sports journalism staffs are shrinking. A look at the changing business of high school sports media — and what gets lost when local coverage disappears.

I read your gamer!!! Exceptional Benjamin! Really. You must have been pretty exhausted getting up and down the sideline on that one with so much going on. All those numbers/touchdowns/momentum swings/quotes. Your account matched the game for sure. People should really subscribe to you and Ethan's substack. Every game you two attend is a true, thorough account. A treat for athletes/parents/fans.

Somehow SRV remains too low. Might honestly be #2 in the section.
Vintage @ Ukiah gearing up to be massive Nov. 6.
Week 9 MaxPreps football rankings, NCS top-20
-SRV climbs to 5 after playing DLS tough
-Vintage , BOD, Benicia big risers
-Hayward (23), Ferndale (24) tumble
-Windsor down 3 after beating then-No. 14 San Marin
-Ukiah somehow still ranked ahead of Redwood (21). #PDPreps

@FinnReilly18’s interception seals a share of the REC Valley title for @RedwoodSports. Instant classic, and I don’t use that term lightly.
Here’s the interception as caught on film by @james_dalpino.

@SIscores gets down to the 9, but one final pass falls incomplete.
The @PadreFootball_ defense dominated, with three touchdowns coming off @rjguldbech1’s two interceptions and fumble recovery.
