Air Force D-Line Eyes Drill - Set up the drill using four cones for a one-on-one, body-on-body format. - This drill serves as the final culmination that integrates all previous tackling, footwork, block destruction, transitional eyes, and shed progression techniques. - The defensive player does not know which direction the ball carrier is going beforehand, simulating unpredictable movement. - The coach stands behind the drill and directs the ball carrier's route upon blowing the whistle. - The drill allows defensive players to practice both leverage sheds and backside sheds depending on the play's movement. - Players should focus on keeping their eyes in their gap and continually running their feet upon contact during the tackle.
