New research from Fairgate's CTO, @SDLerner: FlatMerkle.
The paper introduces a way to achieve compact, logarithmic-size inclusion proofs using a single linear hash stream, without requiring a traditional Merkle tree.

🔗Verifier inputs can now include Cosign inputs interleaved at arbitrary positions, enabling more flexibility and opening the door to counter-proofs within the protocol flow.
🛡️Database recovery capabilities have also been introduced, allowing the system to recover from corrupted database states and restore operation in a controlled way, making recovery scenarios much more manageable.
✨BitVMX keeps pushing forward, with the system becoming more robust, efficient, and capable with every step. We’re excited about where this is heading, and there’s a lot more to come. Stay tuned! 🔥
🔍The Bitcoin Indexer just got a major refactor focused on storage efficiency, scalability, and performance. Its indexing strategy now uses a bounded set of recent blockchain data, cutting storage needs while keeping the data required for protocol operation available.
🧠A new article covers Garbled Circuits for computing SHA-512 on Bitcoin. It enables funds to be locked to a SHA-512 preimage, with the hash evaluated off-chain as a Garbled Circuit and the result settled on-chain. Tested on Bitcoin Mainnet: bitvmx.org/knowledge/using-g…
BitVMX continues to advance across its core infrastructure, protocol execution, and developer tooling, with several components receiving deeper architectural improvements and broader operational capabilities.
Here’s what we’ve been working on 🧵
Bitcoin Script has no native SHA-512.
BitVMX enables funds to be locked based on a SHA-512 preimage, evaluating the hash function as a garbled circuit off-chain, settling the result on-chain with a fixed set of transactions. Tested on Bitcoin mainnet.

BitVMX continues to move forward with another round of improvements across the protocol, infrastructure, security, and developer tooling.
Here’s what we’ve been working on 🧵
⚙️The Bitcoin coordinator refactor is now complete, with additional documentation and robustness improvements.
We also published a detailed article explaining its architecture and operation: bitvmx.org/knowledge/a-bitco…
Another strong round of progress across BitVMX, with continued focus on making the system more robust, secure, and easier to work with.
Thanks for following along, more to come! 🚀
Signing a Bitcoin transaction is easy. Getting it to a durable confirmation is not.
A new BitVMX article breaks down a Transaction Coordinator library: broadcast, tracking, automatic fee bumping via CPFP/RBF, and structured event reporting.
