I had a lot of suspicion around the incoming Trump 2 admin, a lot of the cabinet level guys are retarded, JD is smart, but clearly would never beat Ossoff or Newsom, etc. Like everyone though i was excited when he won, how could you not have been. But after the 1-2 punch of nothing being done about Charlie Kirks murder and the war in Iran it was clear it was over.
There was a Pravda level of compliance bullying on the TL and in GCs to keep people on the ride, even as it was clear it was careening off the tracks. Aside from myself and a few other oldheads who've been around the block now, surprisingly few clocked what a shitshow Trump 2 had become. Patrick Casey and a few others stick out as hanging on embarrassingly late.
Blind ideological adherence to a man and a movement without any actual ideology doesnt help anyone or anything. There were a few times, (H1bs come to mind), where public outcry forced the admin to course correct.
But the blatant insider trading, the fraud, the hype edits of slamming random hairdressers and roofers on the pavement, the rampant inflation at the grocery store and the pump, the total insane lie that Iran was going to nuke us any day now (which they never even really bothered selling to the public), the whole thing was a disaster.
But ultimately if Trump wants to be a checked out boomer and insider trade, who gives a shit, the real story on Twitter anyways, is the spin-doctor cope squad that bullied everyone else into compliance. These people should never be trusted again in any capacity.
I hope the Trump admin does well with what time it has left, I hope America improves, but the Trump era is winding down and coming to a conclusion. He was the greatest living showman, (maybe 2nd to Vince McMahon), and he proved to be dynamic in a way no President in my lifetime has been, but he held politics hostage for a decade and sucked all the air out of the room. I predict if anything a turning away of sorts will happen. Its been too crazy for too long, and now that its clear hes not the guy a lot of people are going to check out for a while.
I remain very cautiously optimistic for the future, but the near term is going to suck. If you have a professional life i would delete my account or at least clean it up substantially, I would be shocked if Elon doesnt get pressured into selling the site eventually.

The mission statements are totally different. Their job is to destroy, which is very easy and can be done slowly over time like termites, one or 2 or 5 setbacks means nothing. We're holding the gate shut while the enemy beats down the door. They get in once and its over.

I’ve never seen that from the Left. They never give up. Not one of them said, “It’s OVER,” when Trump won in 2016. They made up Russiagate, stole the 2020 election, and held on through Trump’s second victory until last night.
You don’t have to comment publicly, but maybe the Left just wants it more. They love their vision of America as the world’s favela more than you love your vision of America. And if that’s the case, then stop following politics, for the sake of your mental health. It’s not going to “pop off.” There’s not going to be a second Caesar or Hitler. Your day to day life is just going to gradually get shittier forever, until you die alone, of neglect, in the nursing home where your transgender son and OF daughter sent you. If you even had children.
I don’t mind big brained takes on why Republicans lost, but GTFO with dooming. It’s not over. We’re not cooked. We survived eight years of Obama and four years of Biden. We’ll survive two years of a Democratic Congress with a Republican president. Start thinking of how to do better next time. Or troon out and cut your dick off. It’s your choice.
