mon ami- while i absolutely believe you when you say this "That is modern France in one sentence. The people say no. The elites do it anyway" please believe me when i tell you the following: you cannot take this passive tone. you cannot accept that "this was done to me and is not our fault." it's on you to stop it because your self-styled elites will not. whether they initiated it or you supported it will not wind up mattering: you tolerated it. you alllowed it. the ultimate guarantor of the freedom and culture of a people is the people, not the state. "this was done to me" is passive acceptance of life as a subject. to be a citizen requires one to fight for those rights if someone tries to take them away. there is no other option and doing so will get more difficult every day. you have a group in your country whose explicit practice is to demand accommodation when weak than grant none when strong. they are feeling you out to test their strength and yours. they are assessing your resolve: not just what you can do but what you are willing to do. if they win, they will push, if they fail, they will cry and demand more free stuff and more privilege and call you racist while they seek to grow strong enough to beat you next time. islam does not co-exist with other cultures; it seeks to subjugate them and your new neighbors are used to and comfortable with levels of violence that you have forgotten. it will not pacify, it will intensify. accomodation will not calm it, it will encourage further attack. as such, there is only one question: "what, if anything, are you going to do about it?" "it's not my fault, i did not vote for this," will not protect you. the cavalry is not coming. it's you. so saddle up or knuckle under. those are the only two choices.
To every American, and to everyone watching France burn from abroad: Do not blame the French people for this. We never asked for it. We never voted for it. And the one time we were clearly asked, we said no. Here are the numbers your media won't show you. 70% of the French say there are too many immigrants in France today. 79% want a tougher immigration policy. 77% disapprove of the government's record on immigration. 83% want foreign criminals and long-term unemployed foreigners sent home. And no, it's not just the old. 69% of French 18 to 24 year olds support suspending legal immigration for three years. This is not a fringe. This is the French people. In 2005, we were asked if we wanted the European Constitution. 55% voted no. Three years later, our politicians passed the same text under another name, through parliament, without ever asking us again. That is modern France in one sentence. The people say no. The elites do it anyway. So who is responsible? The politicians who lied to us. A class of leaders formed in the same schools, the same forums, the same networks, loyal to each other before they are loyal to their nations. In 2017, at Harvard, Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, bragged about his Young Global Leaders program in four words: "We penetrate the cabinets." He added that it was true in France. Emmanuel Macron was one of his Young Global Leaders. It's the same project in Brussels with Ursula von der Leyen and in Paris with Macron. Borders treated as an obstacle. Nations treated as relics. The people treated as a problem to be managed. What you are watching in France is not the French people failing. It is the end of the globalist project, an abject, quasi-communist dream of a world run by unelected planners. It is collapsing everywhere in Europe at once, and the West has to cut this cancer out before it takes the rest of the body with it. The peoples of Europe don't want this. They never did. So when you see our town halls burning, don't say "the French chose this." The French never chose this. They were forced into it. If you're French and you agree, repost this so the world hears it from us. If you're American, look at us carefully. Then choose differently on November 3rd.

this wealth tax idea is the thin end of a very large wedge of socialism and stagnation. even leaving aside that you basically cannot do this because so much wealth is illiquid and values are arbitrary/unknowable, this is the exact lie they originally sold the income tax with. "low percentage, only the very rich will pay it. make them pay their fair share. why should you care? it doesn't even apply to you! " how did that one work out for all y'all? if you think this time is different, you have no been paying attention. "the leopard wears many masks, but he never changes his spots."
All I’m asking for is a 2-cent wealth tax on the richest Americans.

look guys, it's really simple. the whole "shane gillis women in gyms" thing is just the exhibitionism of certain women crashing into this meme. of course they dress like that at the gym to get attention (or to establish pecking order with other women). claiming otherwise is silly. "string that pulls my short-shorts up my butt crack" is not for comfort or athletic performance. but they want it to be the "right" kind of attention so it's not "being noticed" that matters, it's "who noticed?" they are pleased if the right people stare and offended if the wrong ones do. whether you are a creep or a compliment depends on how they view you, not on what you did. this is not complicated. that's the whole tension.

in my experience, the men who tend to say things like "aging is awful spiritual death" are the ones who are, themselves, failing. it seems like a form of self-diagnosis and self-tattle. they have not met their goals, not measured up, and hate the idea that others have. the men who are accomplished and have full lives never seem to feel this way. this is not so much about age as the problem as age as the revelator: when you're 25 you can tell yourself stories about falling behind and failing to build that involve "i have loads of time to catch up." but the excuses fall away with time and for those on un-promising tracks and histories without meaning, the gap between one and one's peers widens and becomes ever more difficult to ignore. they then seek to blame "age" for their unhappiness, but that is not the root cause. the passing of years just gave their issues time to manifest.

if you pitched a movie plot where every year the top 1,000 supervillains in the world all got together in a swiss town guarded by 3,000 goons in black carrying machine guns and plotted world domination but were so cavalier about their identity that you could literally download lists of their names from the internet, they'd laugh you out of the room. "too obvious!" they'd say. "not remotely believable!" they'd snicker. and if you loaded on "not only that, but they all get together at universities to confess their plans in public" the producers would die of terminal eye rolling. and yet, here we are...

if a predatory publication deliberately misframes a moral question to elicit slop replies and play at virtue signaling: should you ratio them? (vote under the spectator post)
If a predatory animal attacks a harmless human, do we root for the animal or the human? Not everyone holds that answer to be self-evident, as witnessed in the discourse around last weekend's Yorkshire Wildlife Park tragedy in the United Kingdom. Details remain scarce about the delusional young man who vaulted into the enclosure with a Siberian tiger and was swiftly mauled to death. Whoever he was, the Internet has declared the gene pool well rid of him. By all accounts, the horrific scene unfolded too fast for park rangers on site to make a life-saving intervention. In the haze of early reports, some people (including myself) mistakenly thought there may have been an opportunity missed to intervene with a real gun. ✍️ Bethel McGrew Article | spectator.com/article/is-a-t…

still no confirmation about claims that william chapman had some sort of mental health issues. it appears he was a child actor who was in a couple of series. (not sure if that makes mental health issues more or less likely)
The man mauled by a tiger after entering its enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park has been identified as William Chapman. He posted a video of himself inside the enclosure moments before the attack.

pretty much any time you hear someone say "i would inflict infinity harm just to save 1 life!" you can tell you're dealing with someone who is lacking in intellect. it's sub-mitwit single order outcome moral posturing from people who cannot imagine complex or iterative/emergent systems and just want some moral absolute to parade around as though its adoption renders them heroic. it takes a special sort of entitled incomprehension to mistake this level of miscalibrtion for virtue signaling. this is the exact sort of person who said "close every school and business if doing so could just save one covid death" and then wrecked the world.
I would kill every tiger in the world to save one human, because humans are more important. This is a very simple concept, folks.

at what point can we simply admit that describing "finding fraud" as "far right" is essentially a self-tattle from the left? when the argument is always "you have no right to do this" or "ad hominem" and never "we're innoccent" it really speaks volumes.
When will the mainstream media realize there is nothing “right-wing” or “far-right” about exposing fraud? The media is an enemy to the legal law abiding taxpaying citizen. I am not, that’s why they hate me. I’ve done more journalism with my pinky than their entire organization

ok, so charles manson escapes from prison. he climbs a fence and hides in harambe's cage. harambe gets upset and attacks him. so we shoot the gorilla because humans have more value than animals? that's your take? no further nuance?
Humans have more value than tigers. That's my controversial take of the day apparently.

these arguments make zero sense to me. consider: you break into my house. my dog sees you as a threat and attacks you. so, i'm supposed to shoot my dog to save you from your own actions? nope. that's not a sound basis for a moral system. if humans want agency, they get responsibility. that's how that works.
Being endangered does not make an animal’s survival an absolute moral priority over a dying human being. The tiger was acting on instinct, not malice. Nobody disputes that. But innocence does not eliminate danger, and protecting human life is not the same as punishing an animal. If lethal force is the only viable means of saving someone from a fatal attack, refusing to intervene is not compassion—it is a moral failure. A civilized society should be capable of valuing animal welfare without abandoning its fundamental obligation to preserve human life.

the level of unreality on this topic dazzles me. we cannot nerf the world to the point where no one, no matter how stupid, can hurt themsleves. besides, why not tranq the human while he's climbing the fence? easier and more moral.
