Current snapshot: - Human attention is the blocker - Models feel smart enough but too slow - Astra/Fable don't produce 'bugs' - Code review losing value - Spec, guidance, direction feel important - Traditional CI/PR/Tests feel very dated - Taste increasing in value
Things are definitely changing. Current snapshot: - Write 0% of code by hand - Haven't opened an IDE - PRs automated with ai - Stopped opening linear - Stopped copying figma css In general at work I get 'annoyed' when I have to open an app because ai cant complete the flow.

One year ago, @Wealthsimple acquired Fey. Here's what it's actually been like as founders: what we built, what surprised us, and what's next. performance.dev/wealthsimple…

Wealthsimple net inflows are accelerating beyond the biggest bank in Canada, growing 55% QoQ. Wealthsimple $17B RBC $9.8B
The company saw a whopping $17 billion in net inflows in the second quarter, up about 55% relative to the previous period. “That was our biggest quarter ever,” Lejeune said. To put that number into context, RBC saw $9.8 billion in net new assets across its entire wealth management business during its second fiscal quarter." 👀 investmentexecutive.com/pers…

We've been cooking at @Wealthsimple 🧑‍🍳
I built an internal app with a bunch of components I’ve created for Wealthsimple. But my favourite part is how fast this thing is ⚡

I dove into ChatGPT.com web to learn how it works. What appears simple on the surface is anything but! I dig into: - The history and tech stack - CSS, Components, Flags, Security - Difference compared to Claude - And more... ➡️ performance.dev/chatgpt

What I found most interesting is how much your engineering decisions reveal about your company's goals. Or maybe it's the other way. It's clear OpenAI is focused on consumers and being the place to interact with AI.

This is so good. I've been working on my own GitHub bot that's similar to this. I add it to my repositories, it assess the code, and then automatically makes PRs with improvements (mine's tweaked to performance & design). It also takes production analytics into consideration.
You have Claude Fable for only a few days. Here's how to make the most of it. Introducing /improve: use your most capable model to audit your codebase and write plans for cheaper models to execute later. Studies your code, figures out bugs, perf, tech debt, missing tests, what to build and writes plans any agent can run.

It's still early, and a bit expensive for personal projects, but wondering if I make it a service anyone can buy. It's sort of like a sentry + /improve + automatic PRs. My goal was to transfer all my knowledge into a bot that continuously improves my repositories.
