The message: Stay present in the moment. We often take ourselves out of a moment we are experiencing for many reasons—to analyze it, to think about it, or document it.
Even when we pause to take a picture of a beautiful sunset, we have to leave the moment of experiencing that sunset to take the picture. When we do this, we lose the feeling of the moment.
“There’s too much tendency to look inward at one’s moods and to try and evaluate them, to stand on the outside and try to look inside is futile. It’s like turning on a light to look at darkness. Analyze it and it’s gone.” -Bruce Lee
Ted Thomas (Circa ‘71): Bruce, how much of your screen personality is really you? I mean you teach martial arts, obviously you’re very good at it. But of course teachers are not always the best exponents or practitioners. Are you able to take care of yourself, would you say?

“If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.” -Bruce Lee
