Rarely seen a war so utterly devoid of humanity on both sides. It's the physical manifestation of nihilism.

I remember when Tucker interviewed him and asked him if this was about NATO and he launched into a soliloquy about the Kievian Rus in 900 AD. Nothing has changed.
Kremlin apologists: Russia was forced by NATO to invade Ukraine Putin: Ukrainians are genetically Russian and Ukraine is historically Russian land

Russia produces 10% of global oil demand. It must be fun to make policy prescriptions completely unmoored from reality.
Russia produces more oil in a year than the planet will use in two. China does the same with rice. We slaughter more chickens daily than could be eaten even if everyone ate chicken at every meal. There IS abundance; its just being horded by capitalist slavers and their lackeys.

English language Russian propaganda is always about NATO expansion or Nazis In Ukraine but Russian language Russian propaganda is just blood and soil arguments repackaged for modern Russian fascists.
Putin on Ukraine: Even now, we are ready to negotiate and seek solutions to this difficult, complicated situation, in the sense that they are a people very close to us, you understand? What can I say? Recent genetic studies show that, in fact, we are one people.

This is a problem coming for all of our societies. We cannot sustain our pension system. People are healthier longer with less kids. Retirement ages have to go up significantly.
France is apparently dipping into its schools budget to plug holes in its public pension system. Seems relevant given that the country is currently being rocked by students protesting over conditions at their high schools!theconversation.com/the-fren…

AI writing is like cocaine. You don’t notice it until you’ve used it then you see it everywhere.

Yes, I am, not the government of the Russian Federation. Seek help.

Deliberately obtuse I see. GFY You are partly responsible for every Ukrainian soldier or civilian who dies after I send this post.

Yes because stopping genocide is definitely the same as the Ukraine war.

Man, why the hell those STUPID BLUE POPCORN ACCOUNTS are still braying stupidities when they're not getting paid right now? 🙄

They did, constantly. When it was relevant. Just like we mentioned the stealth annexation of Crimea. But now that it's 4 years on, we are more focused on the even larger crime of doing a full scale invasion. This is a bit like saying "Isn't it weird that Churchill isn't talking about the annexation of Czechoslovakia?" in 1942. Sure, that was bad, but there's bigger shit going on now.

thats interessting. Have you ever ask yourself why the west and its politicians never mention the donbass conflikt if it is playing into their hands like you say? Maybe the reason is it does not and ukraine fought a war against their own citizens?

The "Euromaidan was a CIA coup" crowd moral frogging about disregarding the agency of Ukrainians is a new one.
Are you saying that the Eastern regions had no grief with Ukraine and this happened only because of Russia? Insulting to think people have no agency whatsoever

I wasn't aware that Euromaidan was a war. Also, interesting you didn't mention the EU trade agreement.
Replying to @bydoniver @ricwe123
You're skipping over a whole election cycle and the Euromaidan. I guess I shouldn't be surprised you people don't read

This post, which didn't even get a particularly large amount of traction, got me a block. Seems strange, no? My reply was extremely innocuous, not insulting, and a pretty well understood restatement of facts. It makes sense when you understand the incentives
Replying to @ricwe123
No one has ever denied the war started in 2014. Russia invaded and annexed Crimea and started a low grade war in the Donbas.

The account @ricwe123 is a russian disinfo account. In this prism, the block makes sense. The point isn't to engage on the content, but to push a narrative. By entering his controlled space and pointing out a simple fact that undermines his claims, I've disrupted his work. He needs to make sure I can't do that in the future.

I don’t like the death penalty because it’s a poor deterrent and leads to irreversible wrongful convictions, but I think there might be an argument for drug kingpins. They continue running their empire from prison and come out stronger so prison just.. doesn’t work.

It’s very funny to see the best indicator that capitalism is working I’ve ever seen (like to such a degree that I think there’s confounding going on) and to use that as proof that capitalism is dead. I never expected leftists to bemoan a decline in corporate profit margins.
The absolute exhaustion of the profit engine. No policy tweak is fixing a 150-year terminal decline.
