Always great to see the Cake team featured in Forbes! 🙌
The article takes a closer look at where Ethereum stands today, and Vik and Lea each offered their take on its role in things like stablecoins, DeFi, and tokenized assets, and how blockchain is being used for real financial tools.

Huuuuuuge Cake update rolling out now, with two of the biggest missing pieces we had for the redesign we launched earlier this year.
I'm especially psyched for proper Bitcoin accounts in Cake, was the last missing piece for me on the Bitcoin side.

Optionality is king, and Cupcake is a perfect example of that.
Does it replace hardware wallets for everyone? Of course not!
But it provides an excellent alternative that doesn't require you hand over an address to a crypto company and doesn't force you to reveal you own crypto to your governments import officials either.
The recent hardware wallet supply chain attacks are a sobering reminder that protecting your funds goes beyond just keeping your private keys safe.
One reason we built Cupcake was to give people another option for self-custody that reduces reliance on third parties. Instead of purchasing a dedicated hardware wallet, you can turn an old phone into an offline signing device and use it with Cake Wallet to manage your funds.

Fungible money needs privacy by default. Monero gives you that on every transaction. Hold it yourself, pay who you want. Cake Wallet.

So, uh, I found a novel speed up for Fulcrum that drastically speeds up history queries and thus wallet sync for @cakewallet 🤯
Every call from a typical wallet gets ~4-6x faster, and wallets with deep history get up to 10x faster.
No client-side changes necessary at all.
