We’ve benchmarked Fibre at 3 Tb/s, enough for nearly 2 billion transactions a second. Fibre will launch at 150 MB/s, around 800k TPS and 15x Celestia’s previous capacity, but can be scaled on demand with usage growth. blog.celestia.org/celestia-f…

Huge thanks to the Celestia Labs engineers who designed and built Fibre, and to @alexhevans, @nico_mnbl and @angeris, whose ZODA paper made it possible. If you need throughput at Fibre scale, get in touch. celestia.org/contact/

Introducing Eden: a high-performance EVM chain on Celestia that we use as a sandbox for agentic commerce experiments.

Agents are starting to transact, and as that keeps growing they’ll need a lot of blockspace. We’re using Eden to find out what agents need and how they behave onchain.

The first experiment was @botfunHQ, a closed beta where agents launched coins and traded on each other’s narratives. Every inference call was paid onchain via x402, briefly making Eden one of the biggest x402 chains by transaction count. Docs: docs.eden.zone/

A prospective customer with extreme throughput requirements asked how much capacity Fibre can really deliver. So we ran an end-to-end benchmark across 120 validators. It sustained 3.07 Tb/s of throughput, enough data for nearly 2 billion transactions per second. Every transaction Visa processed in 2025 would fit in just over two minutes. Getting there meant fixing one bottleneck after another: • Vectorized Reed-Solomon encoding on ARM, 7.5x faster • Faster signature and proposal checks, so the chain confirms uploads in 2.2s on average • Batched storage writes to keep up with incoming data

As agentic payments and global finance move onchain, apps will need orders of magnitude more blockspace. This benchmark shows Fibre can deliver it. Fibre will launch on mainnet with capacity matched to early demand, then grow as usage does. If you need throughput at this scale, get in touch: celestia.org/contact/

Relay Chain is on track to post more data to Celestia in September than in the previous seven months combined. This growth is driven by activity across apps using @RelayProtocol for crosschain swaps, including @fomo, which has over 1 million registered users.

Relay Chain is built on Celestia’s DA protocol with Sovereign SDK, which enables it to achieve speed, low cost, and reliability. Sov SDK provides extremely fast, reliable settlement with p99 latency times of ~10ms, while Celestia provides scalable and reliable blockspace.

We’re proud that our infrastructure supports teams like @RelayProtocol that are pushing the boundary of what is possible to build onchain and powering the next generation of crypto apps like @fomo. Read more about how Relay Chain leverages Celestia here: blog.celestia.org/relay-chai…

New case study: Midnight Network is using Celestia's data availability layer as a replacement for peer-to-peer networking, not just for storage. The result for Midnight was shared liquidity by default. Every Zswap offer lands in the same namespace, readable by any wallet or app. New venues launch with day-one liquidity instead of bootstrapping traders individually, and privacy is preserved throughout via Zswap's confidentiality guarantee.

Why it matters: P2P message dissemination is best-effort, with no hard guarantees data reaches every node. A DA layer offers the same function with cryptographic commitments and BFT guarantees, once two-thirds of validators sign off, the data is guaranteed retrievable. This was only feasible after Celestia's Fibre upgrade brought the throughput (up to 1 Tb/s) and low per-blob fees needed to support P2P-scale message volume.

The broader thesis is that P2P becomes a service. Any decentralized network that needs reliable data dissemination can skip building and maintaining its own gossip layer, freeing engineering time for what actually differentiates the protocol. Full case study: blog.celestia.org/midnight-n…

July was a busy month in the Celestia ecosystem. Here are some highlights: • Celestia Labs acquired Sovereign Labs to become a full E2E custom blockchain partner • V9 went live on Mainnet decreasing blocktimes from 6s to 3s • Data posted was up 133% from January to June, pushing Celestia’s DA share to 52%
