Quantum Ready Spotlight #3: Each week, we're highlighting someone contributing to our Quantum Ready Pre-Apprenticeship program. This week meet Patrick Swingle. Very few people in the world can say they've built, deployed, and operate a commercial quantum network, but he's one of them, right here in Chattanooga. As Manager of Quantum Systems at @EPB_Chattanooga, he's giving our pre-apprentices a rare look inside what it actually takes to run one, day to day. Quantum Ready: Spotlight 2 This Thursday, @AustinSLin, Founder of Toffoli Projects (and a Chattanooga native), joins our pre-apprentice cohort to talk quantum hype vs. quantum reality. 14 yrs at P&G, 12 yrs at Google, now helping lead U.S. quantum standards work. We look forward to learning from you, Austin! More on the pre-apprenticeship here bit.ly/3SuFUlx

Quantum is advanced technology, but learning about it can start with tools students can see, touch and explore. Last month at #QCaMP, Chattanooga-area educators used hands-on activities to explore concepts like polarization and how those ideas connect to quantum research and technology. Thanks @SandiaLabs, @UTChattanooga, and @EPB_Chattanooga for helping us bring this learning to K-12 teachers and, ultimately, their students. More from UTC: bit.ly/4viBMTk
