Our salad too are blanched vegetable, blossoms, and shoots. Dressed with fermented fish sauce, souring condiments esp calamansi, tomatoes, and shallots. Try fern shoots/pako with crispy, deep-fried golden anchovies! 😋 One restaurant in Albay replaced patis with sour cream.
Kumusta naman yong Papaya sa Tinola? Saba sa Pochero? Langka sa KBL at marami pang iba. Ube ginugulay namin yan, Law-oy.

its also funny hearing filipino food doesnt have herbs but with visayan soups atleast we rarely make one without putting in lemongrass. like there is almost always lemongrass 😭 it makes it taste "cleaner" so ig thats why we like it so much lol

There's Bicol's pakulaw, a vegetable stew with coconut milk. It can be malunggay, papaya, langka, sitaw, ampalaya, pako, sigarilyas, atbp. You know it's a Bicol dish because the base is either vegetable or fish cooked in coconut milk. If pork, it's new or Spanish-influenced.

Jia set aside her professional career to lead this young national team to multiple medals, only for higher ups to get in their way this SEA games. If this is the last, there is nothing to be ashamed of Captain! You gave it your all, thank you for fighting for the Philippines!

The Office of Civil Defense advised the public on Thursday to prepare itself for a possible super typhoon that is a thousand-kilometer wide that will reach Luzon by this weekend. The tropical cyclone will be given the local name “Uwan” once it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility late Friday evening or early Saturday morning, said PAGASA. The state weather bureau said that “Uwan” may reach typhoon category on Friday and super typhoon status on Saturday. It is forecast to make landfall over northern or central Luzon. LOOK: Campus journalist tagged by PNP as responsible for the violence in the September 21 protest at Mendiola responds to the police through a letter, addressIng the subpeona sent to him on October 7. Student journalist Jacob Baluyot, associate editor of The Catalyst, the official student publication of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), denied allegations against him by the PNP-CIDG. It named Baluyot as one of the "leaders of the organizations allegedly involved in the violent incident during the Trillion Peso March" on September 21. According to Baluyot's legal counsel, the subpeona requiring his appearance at the PNP-CIDG investigation already constitutes a custodial investigation, effectively treating Baluyot as a suspect and not a witness. The College Editors Guild of the Philippines (CEGP) asserted that Baluyot's subpoena adds to a long line of attacks against independent media, including student publications. "Journalism is not a crime. The PNP, and the Marcos Jr. administration, must focus on holding corrupt officials accountable rather than intimidating journalists and students who exercise their democratic rights," said CEGP National Spokesperson Brell Lacerna.
