Notice the argument that Comstock is 1) a nat'l ban that has *no exceptions*; 2) a national ban that applies to anyone, including women, who receive or mail anything. This could not only override state protections; the law could be understood to be more sweeping than state bans.
And as conservatives understand the law, it could apply to items mailed or received for surgical abortions too. Here's Project 2025, which discusses "every article, instrument, substance, medicine or thing" *calculated to lead another to use or apply it for producing abortion*
