Kavinsky, the producer behind “Nightcall,” has passed away at 50. He helped define the synthwave sound and Drive turned “Nightcall” into one of the most iconic songs of the genre, but his influence and discography stretched way beyond that.
If you’ve only ever heard “Nightcall,” do yourself a favor and spend some time with the whole album Outrun and his 2022 follow up Reborn.
RIP.

Epic scenes last night with @SteveAngello and @Ingrosso at @tomorrowland when they dropped Save The World (NC Edit).
We’ve got some big names today with @CalvinHarris and @arminvanbuuren at the Mainstage and @maxstylermusic and @Ingrosso back at the Freedom stage. I’m back today and will be posting everything live (hopefully the wifi cooperates).

EDM was front, center, and way up high in NYC earlier today.
Shoutout to these legends for risking death and arrests to deliver the important messages we all need.
All jokes obviously but which is your favorite?

Devastating news out of Brazil today with the passing of Oliver Tree at only 32 years old. He was in a helicopter crash this morning along with 6 others. We send our prayers to his family and friends. RIP to one of the best producers during the last 10 years.

So much to say about Max Styler’s 4 hour set at Brooklyn Storehouse last night. Holy fuck what a journey.
Styler is carving out his own lane of tech house, and he continued to push new sounds throughout the night. He came out swinging right away and the set somehow continued to get better and better. Track selection was perfect, mixing was great, and he kept the crowd locked in from start to finish.
I’ve seen Styler too many times to count at this point, but it’s crazy to see how far he’s come as a DJ compared to even a year ago. His Knockdown Center set last year vs last night at Storehouse feels like night and day. Max Styler is a must see act on any lineup going forward if he somehow wasn’t already.

with EDCLV next weekend, just wanted to remind yall:
- do whatever you want
- don’t let someone dictate your night
- don’t miss sets you want to see because your friends don’t want to come with you
edc is so fun when you don’t give a fuck who’s joining you to see certain sets and you just do whatever the fuck you want
