Ochi san has been running a new podcast - but for the English version, he'd been using an AI dub to lack of confidence. I believed he could do it on his own and, this week, he did! He ditched the dub and recorded the English version himself! Show him some love!
Ep. 30 is live! 🎙️ Big update! 🎙️ I'm finally ditching the AI voice clone and using my REAL voice. Why? My friend John Linneman gave me the perfect push: "You can speak English, so use your own voice even if it's not perfect." So here I am—imperfect but 100% real! 🗣️✨ I'm joined by ex-Capcom developers Mr. Oi and Mr. Kimoto to discuss the intense feedback culture that drives Capcom's amazing in-game development. Plus, I talk about my first time eating raw whale sashimi in Obihiro! 🐋

This is interesting. As with the ports of Tony Hawk, the Dreamcast version was handled by Treyarch. Yes, that Treyarch! Didn’t realize they made such significant changes to the artwork. Neat.
This generation has been interesting in this respect. PC gamers are struggling to achieve desired performance in a lot of modern games and that sucks but, on the flipside, console performance is the best it's been since the 16-bit 2D era. Most games are 60 fps now, which rules.
There's basically three elements that come into play there - frame-rate, image quality and visual features. Consoles this gen are excelling with frame-rate and features but struggling with image quality...PS3/PS4 era games, though, tended to struggle with image quality and FPS.
...but it still is unfortunate that the PC space seems to be in not a great space. When I see the comments from PC gamers, a lot of folks are struggling with performance so it's like the whole thing has flipped.
Microsoft DELETED my account AND OneDrive!!?? After ACKNOWLEDGING that I’m the owner of the account and that it was compromised???
25 fucking years of data, thousands of euros spended on games?? My son’s baby pictures? GONE!
All because MICROSOFT couldn’t bring back a compromised account??
One of the biggest companies ever coulnd’t do that so they just deleted that shit like it was nothing?? Fucking shame on you!! @microsoftnl@MicrosoftHelps@MicrosoftHelpt@Microsoft#microsoft#hacked

Eventually, even digital data will no longer be owned by individuals on their own initiative. Whenever there is a major change or accident in the world, in a country, in a government, in an idea, in a trend, access to it may suddenly be cut off.
This is part of why they're killing physical games. Now they can charge full price for 10+ year old games. This makes games more expensive. Even if you wait for sales, it often won't get as cheap as buying it used. This is what we have to look forward to when they go all digital.
