Passkey logins nearly doubled this year. So why are most logins still passwords? We dug into millions of anonymized passkey authentications for the 2026 Dashlane Passkey Power 20 to find out. What stood out: 📈 Monthly passkey authentications nearly doubled to 2.5M, and 57% of Dashlane users now store at least one passkey. 🥇 Google leads with 28% of its logins using a passkey, which means 7 in 10 still don't. 🚫 None of the top 10 domains require passkeys. Credential abuse remains one of the most common ways attackers get in, yet passwords are still the default almost everywhere.
