Most football clubs only have, at most, one set of owners the fans despise. It's quite an achievement for #MUFC to simultaneously have two sets of owners, the Glazers & INEOS, that fans hate. Now *that's* a sign of a big club.

Ah, so kids making the gas chamber hiss at Jewish kids is just about Israel is it? I deal with and other absurdities in my Jew-Hatred: the Latest Edition.
The revealing admission in @mehdirhasan’s post - which he completely misses, accidentally or not - is that rising anti-Israel hatred fuels rising attacks on Jewish school kids, because they are Jewish.

If a right wing commentator posted a 16-tweet thread trying to dismiss and undermine an official report into any other type of racism, Owen Jones would be the first to call them racist. But when it comes to antisemitism, he is first in line with the 'debunking'. What a hypocrite.
When the government announced the review, the terms of reference stated: “It is not a review of the level of antisemitism in schools and colleges.” Yet the alleged level because the headline - based on a sample of 70 students. 29 said they'd personally experienced antisemitism

For example: *every pupil* in a class at a Jewish school visited by the review had personally experienced antisemitism on their journey to or from school. That class is not exceptional. If this was about racist abuse towards black children, Jones would not try to downplay it.

It would also require Rushdie to donate his royalties to a criminal conspiracy, which he has not done.
For the Sally Rooney - Salman Rushdie parallel to work, a major Jewish leader would have had to call for her murder, gangs of marauding Jews would have had to burn down bookstores, and a Jewish extremist would have had to stab her eye out with a knife.

I do wonder if these defenders of free speech would sign the same letter in support of a right wing writer who wanted to give their royalties to, say, National Action.

@daverich1 identifies modern expressions of a persistent and enduring belief that Jews, in one form or another, are the keystone in the arch that holds up civilisation, and that if you want to bring the existing order crashing down and replace it with something radically transformative, you have to first remove this Jewish influence; or at least take away its power. fathomjournal.org/from-beeri…

I hope the images of Zohran Mamdani having people who claim to be pro-Palestine screaming at him in public and calling him a traitor for attending an October 7th vigil will finally wake people up to what I have been warning about for years.

People discuss endlessly where the line sits between antisemitism and anti-Israel. But sometimes, there is no line at all: such as calling for an intifada outside the office of a leading Jewish organisation on Oct 7 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cqev…

Three years on from the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, antisemitism is no longer just a danger for Jews: it threatens Britain's national security and social cohesion, driven by a new type of extremism that links political protest with violent terror. Link in next post.

I used to respect Mehdi as a serious journalist, even when I disagreed with him. But he’s become such a charlatan. This question been answered, and the answer is: around a dozen, maybe 1% of the overall total. Tragic, but not the big ‘gotcha’ he implies.
It would be nice if Western media gave a damn about the Israelis killed *by Israel* on October 7th. They may not - but we here at Zeteo do. Watch @mehdirhasan take you through that day, explaining the secretive 'Hannibal Directive' and how it was deployed by the Israeli military

As we approach the third anniversary of October 7, I am delighted to publish After the Dust and Ashes: October 7, the Book of Job, and Journeys from Grief to Hope. (Fathom Journal Press) Part literary reportage, part biblical commentary / Jewish theology, and part analysis of Israeli society, the book explores how to find meaning when our assumptions about the world collapse. Details of how to purchase the book as well as launch events in the comments. Those who would like to organize a zoom event or in person, feel free to reach out.
