Spent the weekend creating a spelling game in Nuxt for my daughter. Took me hours to figure out why it wouldn't work on mobile when it did on desktop. My iPhone was auto capitlizing the first letter. Needed to toLowerCase() not just the answer but also done.value. Links below

Check out the live site here: buzzphonics2.netlify.app/ GitHub repo: github.com/hellodeborahuk/sp… This was fun to make and I'm glad I got it sorted on mobile.. but my daughter can't play it on my iPhone as she keeps using the spelling suggestions!

I wasn't going to do anymore on this site but last night I thought the blog needs comments! It gave me an opportunity to POST using useStrapi(). At first it didn't automatically update below so I used computed() to refresh the comments with the new comment values #buildinpublic

Finished my yoga site! It felt good to learn something new with Vue and Strapi. The biggest challenge today was to dynamically get the colour theme from Strapi and add the colours as variables in the css. What shall I build next? GitHub repo: lnkd.in/dCN36Tr5

Spent some of the day getting to know Elementor by rebuilding my yoga website with WordPress rather than Next. My next project is building my friends mindfulness website so this seemed like similar vibes.

“If you don't turn your life into a story, you just become a part of someone else's story." "And what if your story doesn't work?" "You keep changing it until you find one that does.” Watching The Magic of Terry Pratchett tonight and this quote seems very fitting right now.

I need a new project for my portfolio, what should I build? Or should I take something I've already done and make it better?✨

Yesterday I started learning something new and it was refreshing 🙌 I'm trying to recreate my Notes app with Laravel. It took me awhile to get going trying out different video tutorials, but I finally found one that I felt comfortable with by @learnwebcode.

Is there a free voice editing app on iOS to make podcasts? But not stream them.. just for a fun kids Rainbows project. I want to be able to add little jingles etc.

My husband bought a new monitor and I kinda wish my desk was big enough for one. Do you think he’ll share? 🤔

Today I encountered Docker for the first time and swore at it loads 😂 but at least it was giving helpful error messages.

Back to work today after a week off paddling in the sea and lots of walking. Working remotely made me think we could do this more often with childcare. I absolutely loved being by the sea for evening walks once the kids were asleep.
