The two that started it all for me:
The first comic I ever bought. November 1984, G.I. Joe #32. I collected until the series ended with #155. If I couldn't get the back issues, I snag Tales of G.I. Joe to get them. I collected the Dark Horse, Image and DDP of Joes before I quit collecting them.
February 1988. A buddy in high school said, since I like G.I. Joe so much, that I'd probably be into the Punisher. He wasn't wrong. I picked up issue #9 and was instantly hooked on the character, his motivations, everything.
It's pretty well known, I have every Punisher comic, appearance, cameo and even mentions from Amazing Spider-Man #129 10/73 (yes it's October 1973 not Feb 1974) to 2011. Back before the Internet it was a bitch trying to find the cameos and mentions for other titles, but I did it.

Its a good consideration
Exactly. Much like most of us, I’m an older guy but I remember walking into my first Toys R Us and standing in the Joe isle. Two Costco length isles, top to bottom. It was a religious experience seared into my brain 😂 Now a community that has similar memories is awesome 🫡
