I don’t think Kingdom Hearts should get rid of Disney completely, nor should it embrace Final Fantasy more - however, I think the direction of less Disney worlds with more Kingdom Hearts thematic relevance and more Kingdom Hearts worlds is a good direction for the series

Because the game our whole team had poured our hearts and souls into for about a year and a half was suddenly canceled...!! I mean, I lost my job overnight. Talk about a bolt from the blue...
