I’ve been running validators on @solana for 8–9 months, and over time, I realized that just running a validator isn’t enough.
There has to be a bigger purpose.
Here's @icestaking_ — to support validator infra and open-source tooling🧵

Excited to co-host this one with @Astralaneio and @brewlabshq_!
See you in Mumbai
Mumbai, we’re days away.
Devcon is coming to town, and before it all kicks off, there’s Sangam.
Together with our brilliant co-hosts @brewlabshq_ and @PropellerSwap , we’re bringing the builders, validators, searchers, MMs and researchers out of the Telegram groups and into one room.
Zero panels. Zero pitches. Just the best of both worlds, with Indian hospitality.

We’re ready for Alpenglow⚡
BrewlabsHQ is already running on the Solana Alpenglow community test cluster 81.7K+ SOL activated stake and producing/voting on slots
Seeing what Alpenglow is capable of at 183K TPS and 25ms finalization makes this even more exciting
When ever i doubt my life decisions up to now I go to the @solana alpenglow community test cluster and look at how sometimes 183k transactions finalize in 25ms.
Be ready for it! Check out the ⛰️ migration guide!
Link to the cluster website is in there.

I can related to this so much, started doing something similar 8 months ago and it’s been a wild trip, the amount of things I have failed at doing can make tower.
It’s just things take time and once you figure out what’s your approach it will eventually workout.
Hopefully soon I will write my experience.
AI has made me too lazy with writing
Forcing myself to write more on jaechung.net
Will be posting random musings from time to time
First piece was on early days of @ManifoldTrading

We’re introducing Solana preconfs: a window into the kitchen where the block gets decided.
Shreds give you the first public receipt.
But would you place the order before seeing the price? 👀

Finally it’s out, been involved in the development for a while for this, it’s been fun and finally it’s ship to prod 🫡
1/ Solana onchain governance is live🗳️
Validators can now propose, support, and decide core protocol decisions via Solana Governance Proposals (SGPs)
These are fully onchain, stake-weighted, and verified by Merkle proof 👇

Most Solana teams optimize RPC.
We decided to remove it.
At @brewlabshq_ , our latency requirements pushed us beyond Yellowstone and toward consuming validator data directly from the source.
Today we're open-sourcing part of that work:
Qlaster — Shared-Memory Data Streaming for Colocated Solana Services.🧵

7/ The public release is intentionally cut down compared to what we run internally.
Not all alpha should be open sourced 🙂
But there's enough here for builders to understand the architecture and experiment with it themselves.
If you'd like to support more open-source Solana infrastructure work from us, consider staking with @brewlabshq_ .
More releases, benchmarks, and internals coming soon.
