I have this vague feeling that getting 55+ communities made illegal and banning age discrimination against the youth would both be very helpful in untangling a lot of the more obtuse/ineffectual civil rights law, since boomers would no longer be able to circumvent them w/ age.

It's really funny to me how boxing gloves are technically for the protection of your hands, not for the protection of your opponent. Bare-knuckle boxing is a lot bloodier overall, but your knuckles are softer than your opponent's skull, and hands tend to break before heads.
