The awful comments hurt my heart. Yes she was young (the average age of Battle of Britain pilots was 20), but she kept her composure and communicated while banked 60 degrees, nose down, falling 20,000 ft in a 100 seconds. Only at the end did she lose it. Who wouldn't? Be kind ๐Ÿฅบ

Call me a sentimental old sausage, if you must, but I think what makes this clip so special is the evidently warm, friendly work environment it discloses. If these people, in front of camera and behind, didn't enjoy making TV together, you simply wouldn't have a moment like this.

This video must go viral. The world must see the truth. A Muslim Arab Israeli is telling the truth about Israel and Gaza. This is a must-watch.

Tuesday the Arab parties won seats. Saturday night Jews and Arabs march through Tel Aviv together. Somebody forward this to the 'apartheid' crowd.

This is not true. The Greens have not been taken over by pro-Palestinian activists. The pro-Palestinian position is liberation from Hamas, comprehensive deprogramming, and acceptance of the existence of Israel as a Jewish state next-door. That's the only way to achieve peace and prosperity for Palestinians. The Greens have been taken over by Hamas activists.

In Gaza, Jews get decapitated and their bodies are torn into trophies for Palestinians. In Israel, Arabs get to vote. Iโ€™m tired of listening to progressives with no education beyond Twitter claiming Palestinians are the oppressed ones.

Humans can, sometimes, be the best animal.
That was a superhuman feat, holding the deer with one hand and using the other to free it, well done, you are blessed.

Most famous? Probably Charles, when he was prince. Most meaningful? Probably John Peel. But also many writers: Ian McEwan, Richard Dawkins, Germaine Greer, Yuval Noah Harari, Rose Tremaine, Steven Pinker, Sarah Perry, China Mieville, Laura Cumming, Mary Beard. Take your pick.
Whoโ€™s the most famous person youโ€™ve ever spoken to? Not โ€œseen from far awayโ€ โ€” actually talked to, even for a minute. A quick hello, a handshake, a normal conversationโ€ฆ and you still remember it. Who was it?

If people want to know why the fourth estate rounded on Arday in the way it did, itโ€™s because of this. When Jack approached Arday for comment on the plagiarism allegations, Arday reported him to the police and set Carter-Ruck on him. For doing his job. Once Nathan Cofnas broke the story in a blog, Jack told of Ardayโ€™s actions towards him and the other journalists took notice. You donโ€™t threaten journalists without triggering repercussions. They started digging. It wasnโ€™t a hit-job by the right-wing press. The most damning revelations were published by The Atlantic and The Guardian.

Recognition from fellow journalists is much appreciated as this is undoubtedly a difficult and polarising story, with a tragic outcome. Many people still do not accept its legitimacy but it was an important public interest story which sparked public debate about key issues of our age timeshighereducation.com/opiโ€ฆ

Someone speaking Hebrew canโ€™t go to a comedy club without being mocked and ridiculed. When Jews are the butt of a joke simply because of who they are, you know your society has taken a disastrous turn.

Despite the tragic outcome, this WAS a story and Jack was doing his job properly. There will be weeping and gnashing in certain quarters but itโ€™s right that the journalism is recognisedโ€ฆ
