Great news !! @ecodylic got another round of funding from MAX!mize program Another Round of Funding for Ecodylic Science Ecodylic Science, a startup project led by Jacob Davidson and Ahmed El Hady at the Max Planck Institute for Animal Behavior, has been awarded €219,000 in Phase 2 funding from the MAX!mize incubator program. The project is developing a comprehensive software ecosystem for behavioral analysis that integrates multiple state-of-the-art tools, to accelerate AI-driven insights from animal collective behavior. The project will make tools freely available to the research community, while working with corporate partners in pharmaceutical drug testing and related industries.During Phase 1, the team expanded and built foundational elements of the software platform. The team is currently collaborating with the Ernst Strungmann Institute, analyzing the effects of psilocybin on animal group behavior—a use case with potential applications in drug testing. In Phase 2, the Ecodylic Science team aims to further develop its software platform, validate additional use cases, and establish a potential user base in preparation for a successful market launch. We are a research team at MPIAB and CASCB currently participating in the MAX!mize startup incubator program by Max Planck Innovation. As part of the early-stage development of our planned spin-off Ecodylic Science, we are building an open analysis platform for collective behavior, with applications in behavioral biology and translational medicine.
