NEW: Federal health scientists are trying to alert doctors to risks of measles during pregnancy as U.S. cases surge, but how quickly that info will reach clinicians — and where it will be published — remains uncertain amid internal conflict. My story. 1/5 washingtonpost.com/health/20…

The engineer who built Claude Code from scratch just released a 28-minute video that's pure gold: how to write prompts that deliver ridiculously good results. I've seen $300 courses that don't even come close to what he explains in the first 10 minutes. CLAUDE.md files, memory shortcuts, parallel sessions, and prompting patterns that almost no one uses... All in one single video. Completely free. No fluff. Whether you're a developer, just starting, or have already been using Claude for months, this changes the game for you starting today.

This is a very interesting study from Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. It suggests that SARS-CoV-2 may be evolving in a way that makes it increasingly difficult for the human immune system to recognize the virus in the first place—not simply harder for existing antibodies to neutralize it. So now one has to wonder whether if fewer naïve human B cells can recognize an evolved virus, will the vaccines even work? Will they have a difficult time recruiting genuinely new B-cell specificities? Doesn't this seem like an issue worth considering @FDADrugs @FDA @CDC @NIHDirector_Jay? Don’t get SARS2 if you love to cook.
A study finds persistent taste problems after COVID-19 infection may stem from damaged taste buds and lower levels of a protein called PLCβ2. This weakens signals to the brain, making sweet, bitter and savoury flavours harder to detect, while salty and sour tastes are unaffected.
