Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is expected to be sidelined for multiple months after new imaging over the weekend found several blood clots in his lungs.
Hurts is now on blood thinners and should have no long-term effects. But it’s unlikely he plays again this season.

He died. They still played the football game. No postponement. They just took the body off the field and played the game regardless of what just happened. Am I the only person disturbed by this?
A U.S. Army officer falls to the field at high speed during a fast rope demonstration gone wrong during the Navy vs UTSA pregame tonight.
The officer was attended to on the field and taken to the hospital on a stretcher. There has been no update on his condition but we pray that he was not seriously injured.
Community note
Air Force confirmed the service member, a USAF Airman, died from injuries after the rappelling demonstration. It was not a fast-rope or Army officer.

This man is a hero but it’s a total societal failure when random civilians have to kill armed teenagers in order to save elementary schoolers from the country’s 1,375th school shooting.
Kaylub Giamanco was driving home from lunch when he heard gunshots and saw a gunman entering the Oregon elementary school his two young daughters attend. The carpenter ran into the school and killed the teenage suspect. nbcnews.com/news/us-news/man…

Pope Leo XIV celebrated Mass at noon on Friday in the room set up on the 10th floor of Gemelli Hospital, according to the Holy See Press Office.
Several members of Gemelli's medical and nursing staff attended the Mass, along with members of the Vatican City State Gendarmerie Corps.
"In his homily, the Pope thanked all the staff—doctors, nurses, and orderlies—for the work they do every day caring for patients in their frailty, and especially for what they have done and continue to do for him," read the statement.
