When my kid has to leave school because she’s having a nose bleed because of perfumed products worn by other kids, are they going to be sent home because they forcing her grade down unless I pay for a doctors note each time?
Can we have explicit confirmation that a doctor’s note will now be required to excuse a student’s absence due to illness?
For a fever?
For vomiting?
Clarity is vital here. My child died as a result of illness in the classroom and I would like to know.

How does a full ban approach help kids who use social media as their lifelines to connect with others like them? The neurodivergent and queer kids in small towns with no other resources? Kids with unsupportive families? Kids with abusive parents?
We can all agree that kids should be protected.
Big tech and AI platform are targeting young people before their brains are fully developed. Manitoba is taking action by banning social media and AI chatbots for kids under 16.
It’s about taking back control over our kids eduction, socialization and in the long term, taking back control of our democracy. 🇨🇦

Temperature is one component of indoor air quality. Unfortunately there's no IAQ policy or law that ensures all buildings have clean air at a safe temperature, at any level of government - this is what CIean Indoor Air Toronto is fighting for!
We need a province wide strategy codifying all new schools be built with A/C and a program funding the renovation work required to bring current buildings up to proper standards. Kids can't learn in excessive heat

Most of the literature supports covid damaging people's immune systems.
It may not harm every person's immune system, but the population level consequences affect all of us.
so is there anyone who’s not a crank or a scold that can tell me whether covid is giving us all some kind of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome? because it does sort of seem like that’s happening to some degree but it feels like the only people discussing it are cranks and scolds
