Day 1 of 2nd attempt at Move the month after the last one ended disastrously. Decided to cycle 10km on day 1 as too knackered to run after a full on day yesterday. Surprised how tough cycling is having not been on a bike all year. tackleprostate.enthuse.com/p… tackleprostate.enthuse.com/p…

Thank you to @NeilGibson22 for making my Grandsons day. We had a bucket collection for @ProstateUK and @TackleProstate today. It went well but we lost the match 2-4. Remarkable performance with 2 suspended and 10 injured. Neil is building something special! On we go!

Replying to @Wilmslowparkrun
@Wilmslowparkrun on @Wilmslow5kyw day. 4 weeks ago I had collapsed and was taken to hospital by ambulance. Hardly exercised since! 2 weeks ago walked parkrun in 47, last week jog/walk in 40+, today same a bit quicker. Very slow, crowded start and took over 2 mins for first 200m!

London Marathon 2027. Why I’m Running… On Sunday 25th April 2027, I’ll be running the London Marathon in memory of my little sister, Macie, and raising money for Francis House Children’s Hospice @FrancisHouseCH. Macie passed away aged just three, and Francis House played an incredibly important role in her life and in supporting our family. I’ve put this video together to explain why I’m running, what Francis House means to us, and why I’ve chosen to support them. My fundraising target is £3,000, and I’d be incredibly grateful for any donation, no matter how small. And if you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing this video would mean the world to me. Thank you ❤️ Gaz x 🔗 Donation link: justgiving.com/page/milesfor…

Please read Alison’s thread! If nothing else, if you’re a man at risk (black and/or family history aged over 45 and all men over 50), get a PSA test done. We can’t wait for screening any longer @ProstateUK @PCR_News @TackleProstate @GrahamFulford
Today I went to Bill's funeral. He was 71 and I was his oncologist and friend. Bill was one of the 10,000 men every year in the uk diagnosed with #prostatecancer too late to be cured. Hr had been having "well man checks" for years none of which included a psa.

They cannot wait for "more data" on the benefit of targeted screening. Its time to act. Prostate cancer national screening now. Do it for Bill. And for the Bill's of tomorrow. @ProstateUK @PCR_News @bbcradiolancs @ethansgrumps Post has full support of Bill's widow Honor

"If I'd known about the PSA test and that I'd had a right to one from age 50, my cancer could have been caught early, and I could have had curative treatment with a much better outcome. Instead, I'm living life on a knife edge waiting in the full knowledge that my treatment will eventually fail. It's often a bleak existence", says @ethansgrumps @Prostate_HU prostatecancer.net/living/ps…

Stable is a wonderful word! At The Christie today and everything is good. My liver function that had got up to 36 (top end of normal) last time from 24 has dropped back to 21 and PSA is still undetectable.

3.5 weeks out of action and I’ve gone back even further and I was at a pretty low level to start with. Anyway, it’s a first step back to fitness so I’m seeing it as a positive!

Performative nonsense and outrage at something that’s been known about for over a decade. Mrs C was in the same position but knew exactly when she would get her pension because it’s available to enquire about and they even write to tell you when you’ll get it
I have today telephoned to claim my State pension as I will be sixty six in November to be told that I will not be receiving it until July 2027, when I will be closer to sixty seven. I have just telephone my local MP Martin Wrigley to voice my complete and total disgust at this. The WASPI women have been deprived of years of State pension and promises broken, and I am right on the cusp as born in 1960. It seems to me that if changes are made then the first people who should know about them are those they will affect. My husband had no idea of this either and I wonder who else had. I could not be an MP at present and honestly maintain that I was an honest, caring, dedicated person. What a disgraceful legacy to leave. A justice system which steals from its hard working citizens, a State pension where apparently the contract between citizen and State can be altered to suit others and MPs who sit idly by and allow it to be so. I love my home and I love my husband and friends. But this country? I would not want my name ever appearing as someone who had any degree of power at this time because it would clearly state that whilst the State committed some of the worst crimes there are, in the form of gross persecution of its citizens and open theft of their money honestly made, I sat there and made another meaningless speech. Some of us are much more than that, and we recognise that far from counting ourselves superior people, we are likely to go through life being utterly devastated at the low down and blatantly criminal standards others calling themselves "leaders" will contentedly agree to, whist booing and cheering in parliament like those who in reality have nothing to offer whatsoever. I wasn't born here. I was born in Africa, but have always counted myself British and proud as my family were Colonialists who, contrary to the re writing of history again to suit others, apparently want it written down differently. My grandmother was South African by birth but apparently because she is white this is not possible. My beautiful Gran just laughed at that. I miss her. I decided something today. One day I am leaving Britain to stew in its own fetid juice and hub and I are heading for our real home, where people live decently, honestly and treat people properly. Where such a place may be I don't know, but I am told it exists and that others will show us the way. Our daughter and those we love are coming with us, and of course, some are already safely there. A proper country looks after its citizens and does not lie to them or deceive them. It does not tread them into the ground, deceive, cheat and steal from them. So disgusted I can barely breathe. If it were only this, it wouldn't hurt so much, but so much does. We destroy the innocent by accepting a corrupted police force and greedy dishonest lawyers, we destroy beautiful children by allowing evil Social services to lie with impunity and we torture our best men by accepting obvious unrealities told against them. Meantime Jeremy Bamber, Clive Freeman are treated to a living death and Lucy Letby watches her life go by as the "Crown" puts a woman like Vera Baird into the CCRC. If ever someone was appointed to ignore those crying out at what their country has permitted, it was her. The shame at being part of this is too much. I was once a proud Brit. Now my future depends on knowing that one day those I love and I will simply walk away, never to return. Let those who want to hurt, injure and treat others as apparently our present MPs think fine, simply get on with it. We'll be heading elsewhere, away from those whose standards shame us to death. A case of "Goodbye" not "Au revoir". Sick at heart. What hope for our children when this is the example set by those who call themselves "leaders"? Our poor, poor children. @MartinWrigley @DavidDavisMP @RobertJenrick @KemiBadenoch @Agnes2 @moor_facts @AlgernonParry @UKinjustice2025 @Mscjervis @andyburnham

It’s squeaky bum time again. 12 weekly blood tests tomorrow and then results on Tuesday. Hopefully the PSA has remained undetectable and my liver function has improved rather than having got worse but anxiety levels are ramping up now #prostatecancer
