Wanna show off what you can build with PHP and AI?
Just tagged Symfony AI v1.0.0-BETA1 Yesterday and now we're running a hackathon to see what we can build with it - would love to see some of you trying it out in the open and build something fun!

Upsun is rolling out patched PHP images after two critical vulnerabilities (CVSS v4.0 9.2, critical remote code execution vulnerabilities). If your app uses the PHP runtime image on PHP 7.4 or later, we redeploy it for you. No action needed.
We applied edge protection mitigation measures before the public release, and they protect every customer. Patched images are rolling out now. Expect a brief redeploy. Your code and configuration do not change.
On PHP 7.3 or earlier, or the composable image? You have a step to take.
Read the rollout details and what to check: developer.upsun.com/posts/re…
And follow our status page for progress updates: status.upsun.com/incidents/2…

Just merged support for Jev into symfony/ai - from now on that mono repo gets split into exactly 100 packages.
We added way more: support for Higgsfield, Together AI, Fireworks, Venice, and next up Eden AI.
And support for async jobs/batch and agents using tools of MCP servers.

I'm already really enjoying using and testing it. It's a highly useful tool and a massive DX improvement.

😀 #Symfony Language Tools feedback: "We maintain a 15-year-old multi-tenant Symfony ERP. It surfaced hundreds of real issues for us: translation keys that silently fall back to their literal key, casing mismatches, a route to a bundle deleted 2 years ago, placeholder mistakes."

AI made engineers faster. It didn't make teams faster. The constraint was never typing; it was everything around it. The SDLC is being rewritten, and we'd like to rewrite it with you. That's why today, we're introducing Upsun Dispatch. 🚀
Workflow is the primitive, not the agent. Launching September 2026.

We just dropped a little teaser for an upcoming film...
The film tells the story of PHP, a language that was never meant to become what it is today, told by the people who shaped it.
Expect the full film later this year.

Nowadays I barely write code without an LLM, and my OSS productivity has gone through the roof. Look at what I've shipped on #Twig lately (more to come).
Steve Yegge's 8 levels of AI-assisted development described my last 2 years exactly.

But this isn't what I see at #Upsun: at the organization level, the challenges are different. So I tried to map a second scale, for AI engineering maturity in orgs: upsun.com/blog/8-stages-ai-e…

Most engineering teams already use AI. The real gap is whether the whole org is moving together. @fabpot maps 8 stages of AI maturity, from leadership silence to autonomous agents. See where your team stands 👉 upsun.com/blog/8-stages-ai-e…
