Three types of hitters:
Hitters who swing not to strike out.
Hitters who swing boost their stats.
Hitters who does whatever it takes to win.
The hitters in the third line is the hitter every coach and team wants.

Your parents. Your past. Your boss. Your coach. Your team. Your circumstances. What somebody else did or said.
Eventually, blame runs out.
Growth starts when you take ownership of your attitude, your effort, your decisions, your actions, and your response to reality.

You asked for a bigger opportunity.
Don’t be surprised when it comes with a bigger responsibility.

I don’t think some players understand how important the weight room becomes as you move up levels in baseball. Skill matters, but at some point you need to get stronger, faster and more physical. You can’t ignore the weight room and expect to keep progressing.

BASEBALL NEEDS MORE DUGOUT GUYS.
Not bench players.
DUGOUT GUYS.
The kid who’s hitting .180 and is still the loudest dude when his teammate barrels one.
The starter who gets pulled in the fifth and is on the fence two minutes later.
The kid who picks up the catcher’s mask.
Grabs the helmet somebody tossed.
Meets the guy who scored at home plate.
Knows who’s due up.
Actually watches the damn game when he isn’t playing.
Nobody puts that on a Perfect Game profile.
There’s no exit velo for it.
No ranking.
No highlight video.
But ask any coach who’s been around long enough…
THOSE KIDS ARE WORTH THEIR WEIGHT IN GOLD.
Everybody wants to be the guy.
Baseball needs more guys who are just as fired up when their teammate gets to be the guy.

Pitching highlights from our 2026 district game vs a good Manor New Tech team with all-state SS Zane Thomas and former all-state Ahmad Riley. I was fortunate to get 16 strikeouts in this game which we won for the district championship. @TxHS_Baseball @fairitsgone

If 95% of your teammates are showing growth and development, and you’re not… don’t come complain to me.
You won’t like that conversation.
You get what you put into the weight room every single day. You can’t hide from the process. You can’t cheat the weight room.
Eventually, it will expose you!
