at knityak.com/collections/moon I have curated some nice spots on the moon
these are all created with actual topo data from NASA's LRO Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter from the LOLA (Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter) instrument.

my knit blankets have more entropy than some commercial certificate authorities.
each one is individually generated, provably unique. not just the colors change or the mix of snowflakes, but each snowflake is randomly generated then scattered.
math is hard, let's go shopping. for math.

Sierpiński Granny Squares knityak.com/collections/rule…
These are Rule 90 in the one dimensional cellular automata, pixel native, knit into the sweater, knit on demand. Only you get your particular starting row. I have a ledger that only allows them to be made once. When you start Rule 90 with only one pixel turned on, it makes Sierpinski Triangles. These have more complex starting rows (but symmetrical ones, they looked pleasing to me) and the crenelations, the cut outs on the edge, are random. I was just in Krakow last month and was a little surprised to not see any monuments to Sierpinski, but he only lived there a few years for his doctorate in 1906 (and later walked almost 40 miles to Krakow so he could teach math again, after internment in 1945), but mostly he was in Warsaw.

custom square/rectangular grid to hex grid shenanigans. 1dca rule 90 with symmetric starting row chopped in a triangle and rotated six times and a koch snowflake edge.

these are more like sierpinski doilies than snowflakes now. rule90 with symmetric starting rows cut in a triangle and rotated with random crenelations on the outer edges.
