Obama is now our Grandpresident. He doesn't president us directly, but shows up every now and then with jokes and stories and little gifts, and it really pisses off Trump when we ask if we can just stay and live with Obama instead.

Dear INEC Nigeria, Please what is a “viewing limit”? Why should a website that is supposed to be available and accessible at all times due to the sensitive nature of its duty have a “viewing limit”? Are you planning to log people out at certain crucial times so you can rig???

@inecnigeria restricted access to the online register from foreign IP addresses, as if Nigerians abroad have no right to scrutinise the register. There is no process/form for submitting claims and objections online. Several deceased people are still listed in my polling unit, including my late father. Am I supposed to book a flight across the Atlantic and travel to my LGA just to report that my father is dead and should be removed from the register? INEC, this is 2026. Your disregard for Nigerians is insulting. You demand public trust but you make public scrutiny needlessly difficult. Please provide a clear process for objections online. Fix this embarrassment. Nigerians should not have to drag you into doing your job.

Holy hell. Abdul El-Sayed just ended Trump's name calling game. He turned the insult around, Saudis, Qataris, jet and all, and closed it himself. "Call me Senator after November."

INEC cannot break the law, face public pressure, and then present compliance as a favour to Nigerians. Section 19 of the Electoral Act 2026 requires the voters’ register to be made available online for public scrutiny. This is not an optional extra or a special concession. It is the law.
INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION PRESS STATEMENT UPDATE ON THE DISPLAY AND PUBLICATION OF THE PRELIMINARY REGISTER OF VOTERS FOR THE 2027 GENERAL ELECTION The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) wishes to provide an update on the display of the Preliminary Register of Voters ahead of the 2027 General Election. 2. In accordance with Section 19 of the Electoral Act, 2026, the Commission conducted the physical display of the Register at Registration Areas nationwide from 9th to 15th October, 2026, providing registered voters the opportunity to inspect their particulars and submit claims and objections as prescribed by law. 3. The Commission has taken note of the concerns expressed by Nigerians and other stakeholders regarding the desirability of making the Register accessible through its online platform in addition to the physical display already conducted. 4. Accordingly, and in furtherance of its commitment to transparency, accessibility and public confidence in the electoral process, the Commission has decided to make available on its online platform display.inecnigeria.org the same Preliminary Register of Voters earlier displayed at the Registration Areas. 5. This additional measure complements the physical display already undertaken and is intended to facilitate wider public access to the Register. Meanwhile, the Commission continues to process claims and objections arising from the exercise in accordance with the Electoral Act, 2026, preparatory to the certification and publication of the Final Register of Voters on 15th December 2026. 6. The Commission appreciates the continued interest and constructive engagement of Nigerians and stakeholders and reiterates its commitment to transparency, accountability and the faithful implementation of the Electoral Act, 2026 in delivering credible elections. Peter Obi will be the first president of this country born after independence. All of our past leaders (including the ghost haunting Aso Rock currently) were born before a sovereign Nigeria existed. A president like PO is long overdue for a country as diverse as ours.
