ApeFest was one of the most important events for Flextag so far.
It started to feel real on Thursday evening, when I pulled up to bowling, a little late after a flat tire.
I laid the Flextags out on the grass, and everyone gathered around, looking for their apes on metal.
We were finally meeting in person.
All that anticipation for ApeFest had become something we could hold and share, creating this moment together.
The main event was still two days away, but the excitement was already in the air.
