I've made some white hat music! “That Which You Can Do Without” is a collection of what I view as the best nine songs I’ve written in the past five years or so. They’re deeply personal stream-of-consciousness compositions, and now I’ve finally found the time to record them. The songs represent what I was going through emotionally as I became more of a public person, and the insights and feelings that came with that. It's a dreamy album about hope, forgiveness, and letting go. In an era where AI keeps taking over every creative process, I decided to go in the opposite direction. I recorded all the songs live in my home studio, so these are one-take versions, with me singing and playing guitar simultaneously. Honesty was the goal, as I believe the main purpose of music is to communicate feelings honestly, in a way mere words simply cannot. After I was done recording, I gave the tracks to my brother Erik, who is an excellent composer and musician (currently the only formally educated one in our family) to let him sprinkle some magic of the project. Erik then added orchestration (strings, organ, mellotron, electric guitars, etc.) to the songs, and then mixed and mastered them properly. The result is a truly original sounding album, and Erik managed to elevate the songs to heights I didn't know were possible. For an optimal listening experience where you hear all the details, use headphones! Available on @fountain_app only, for the moment. Coming to the fiat platforms soon. Fountain Live at The Old Blue Last wasn’t just another music event. It was a glimpse at what happens when live music, Bitcoin, Value4Value, Podcasting 2.0 and real-time artist payments meet IRL. And yes, the artists actually got paid. (1/9) 🧵👇

What a night ✨ A total of 684,049 sats (~$550) was sent to the artists - and for most of the crowd it was the first time they had ever paid with Lightning. Thanks @AntidoteBTC and everyone else who made it happen.

Advertising is a brutal business model for smaller podcasters. The shows winning today launched subscriptions early on and trained their audience to support them directly. It's never too early to go paid. Here's how it's done. fountain.fm/blog/podcast-sub…
