After a terrific IndiaFOSS last week, we're staying on in Bengaluru for IICT '26 at IISc.
Several of us are here, and our booth has posters, goodies and team members to answer your questions. Come say hi!

We are a proud sponsor of SegFault '26, an online hackathon on compilers, programming languages and program analysis, held as part of IICT. It has ₹2,00,000 in prize money. Out of 41 teams that presented online, 9 made it to the final at IISc Bengaluru.

A beautiful campus, lots of cats, opportunities for PL research and for writing functional programs to create beautiful systems. Doesn't get better than this (for me at least).
Just to give you a little bit of an idea as to these games. They run entirely in the browser and functionality gets added as you go along and code up the relevant functions.
Inspired by (and piggybacking on) prof's work, Alina, Vimala, Kaustubh and Smayan made a 3 hour OCaml workshop for people new to functional programming. Sign up at the link

Pragyansh and Varun have made it possible to write eBFP programs in pure Python, allowing you to utilise Python's ecosystem in writing code that runs inside your kernel.
They'll present on their insights and gather feedback on what other features the community would like.
