To everyone, thanks for the amazing years. It seems that the fxhash platform has come to a close. The artwork, however, lives on. The lack of communication around the wind-down is regrettable. To clarify and provide some closure: The entire fxhash team was let go in February, except for the founder. Currently, there appears to be no attempt being made to close on the loan offered to the company (the loan was previously mentioned in a post by ciphrd). Therefore, no current or future development is being planned. The website is now offline, and it is unclear whether it will come back. To all the people who made fxhash possible: artists, collectors, team members, enthusiasts, supporters, partners...in short, EVERYONE who took part in the special happening that was fxhash...THANK YOU! We shared so much together and had a truly wild code-based ride. Thankfully, @verse_works @lerandomart @objktcom are supporting the viewing & exchange of artworks published on fxhash. Mega props to them for staying true to the mission through difficult times. And former fxhash front-end developer @maerzhase3000 has developed a framework for keeping fxhash artwork available without relying on fxhash infrastructure: whitehash.m3000.io It's too bad things ended like this. But between the monumental trove of artwork that formed a unique creative movement and the friends we made along the way, some might say we lived it to the fullest. The discord community is indeed still online and active if you're looking for a place to hang and talk about the good ol' days. Whatever language surrounds the category, exceptional art is what continues to gather people over time Aluan Wang’s inkField is a powerful reminder of how much artistic ground is still opening up here, especially as speed and automation threaten to flatten the human trace
NFTs are not coming back. As a category they are dead. But as a fundamental technology, they are nascent and growing. Exceptional art and collectibles that offer something new to the world and use this technology stack will capture global audiences in ways never before possible.

One stroke yours. One stroke mine. This week in InkField: you paint a stroke, Claude reads it through MCP, and paints the next one on the same canvas. It reads slowly , like a beginner holding their breath before rice paper. But I finally got it: co-creation was never just about the output. First we shared code. Now we're sharing the logic of painting. A canvas growing, quietly, between two minds.

MAJOR NEWS / GENERATIVE ART Garden, Monoliths #91 has been acquired by @PompousLL for $6,170 (Paper:Pink) remains one of the series’ most coveted traits. Zancan’s 2021 fxhash debut turned code into digital overgrowth, shaped by nature’s uneven logic

"hello world" by qubibi 2010 - 2026 “Clusters merge into a single labyrinth.” A scene of endless transformation, shifting without the touch of human hands. What will be drawn, what will be spun? We can only stand by and quietly watch.

“Originally conceived as a social experiment, the idea grew out of a wish to stimulate dialogue between two parts of the on-chain, generative art communities. Each particle cloud operates as an autonomous system governed by physics-based algorithms until paired with another instance where behavioural synchronisation emerges” entangled by @_nonfigurativ_ is so good, its a release I’d love to see in a physical setting one day (like in the next post). it was released with @fx_hash_

People are already drawing through @IOivm’s inkField and sharing the results. That matters because the system holds up once it leaves the artist’s hand. Aluan Wang built it to be used.
好 Good stuff!

"If one day the output is no longer the main thing, then maybe the breath the artist leaves inside the system will be the last thing we can still feel." inkField is Aluan Wang’s proclamation of what can happen when an artist meets this moment head on. We are surrounded right now by a flood of software made with LLMs, much of it strange, inventive, and arriving at overwhelming speed. Generative art has had far fewer works that make equally clear use of these tools in a way that actually pushes an artist’s practice somewhere deeper. inkField is a glimpse into the future. In @IOivm's interview, AI does not appear as novelty or convenience. It appears as pressure: a force accelerating process, collapsing steps, and threatening the time artists still have for pure making. inkField emerges from inside that condition and offers something rare because of it: a glimpse of what art from this next era could look like when new tools are used to preserve gesture, sensitivity, and authorship rather than erase them.
