1/ The Wyoming Mustang Institute recorded this video of Saffron in the Red Desert on Aug 30, 2026. She was moving around and interacting with her family. She is the cremello filly whom the BLM shot at the trap for having blue eyes, which they erroneously equate with blindness.

🦧🦦 A Belgian zoo introduced a gang of otters to its orangutans to keep them from getting bored. And then all hell broke loose! At Pairi Daiza Zoo in Belgium, staff came up with an unusual idea: let a family of Asian small-clawed otters share a habitat with the giant ginger orangutans. And it turned out to be a brilliant idea! The little furry troublemakers started climbing out of the water, pestering the orangutans, and challenging them to play. And the orangutans happily joined in! An orangutan named Ujian and his son Berani became especially close friends with the otters. In 2020, photos of this adorable and unlikely friendship went viral around the world.

Scientists have traced Vincent van Gogh's “The Starry Night” to a celestial scene that suggests a new date for one of the world's most famous paintings. Their findings indicate that rather than being a product of van Gogh’s imagination, “The Starry Night” may have been inspired by what he saw as he gazed heavenward from his French asylum 137 years ago. abcnews.visitlink.me/O6RKGs

A hole on the Moon just turned out to be the front door to a 50 km tunnel. Japan’s Kaguya orbiter first spotted it. A pit about 50 metres wide and 50 metres deep, sitting in the Marius Hills on the Moon’s near side. Then JAXA pointed the probe’s radar underground. The echoes came back with something huge: a lava tube roughly 100 metres wide, running about 50 km, and still intact. No collapse. Scientists think it was carved by volcanic activity around 3.5 billion years ago. There may even be ice or water locked in the rocks inside. That’s why JAXA thinks it could become a lunar base. Shelter from radiation, micrometeorites and brutal temperature swings, all built in. Source: JAXA / ISAS, Geophysical Research Letters

Christian McCaffrey's grandpa was the fastest man on Earth, and at the 1960 Olympics he was quietly helping the CIA try to flip a Soviet athlete. That's the family tree behind this jersey swap, and the rest of it is even better. His name was Dave Sime. He showed up at Duke on a baseball scholarship as a premed kid, taught himself to sprint by reading every track book in the library, and in 1956 he tied the world record in the 100-yard dash. Sports Illustrated called him the world's fastest human and put him on the cover. At the Rome Olympics he lost the 100 meters in a photo finish and took silver. On that same trip he was working on getting a Soviet long jumper to defect. Pro baseball teams wanted him and the Detroit Lions drafted him, but he went to med school and spent his career in Miami doing more than 10,000 eye surgeries. Then his youngest daughter Lisa went to Stanford to play soccer and fell for a wide receiver named Ed McCaffrey. Ed played 13 years in the NFL and won three Super Bowls, the first one with the 49ers. Ed and Lisa had four boys, and all four played big-time college football. Max played receiver at Duke, the same school where his grandpa set records. Christian was the Heisman runner-up at Stanford. Dylan played QB at Michigan. Luke, the youngest, was a quarterback at Nebraska who transferred to Rice, switched to receiver, and got drafted 100th overall in 2024. Three of them made the NFL. Christian had played with or against every brother except Luke, which is why he said going into Monday that this game would complete the cycle. Luke has one thing on his famous brother too. He ran a 4.47 forty at the 2024 combine, and Christian ran a 4.48 back in 2017. So the fastest McCaffrey brother, by one hundredth of a second, is the kid who spent most of college playing quarterback. The 49ers won 23-17 and Christian punched in two touchdowns. After the whistle Luke was already out of his Commanders jersey while Christian pulled off the one with the captain's C. The man who said no to the Lions ended up grandpa to three NFL players. He died in January 2016, before any of them had played a down.
Very cool for Christian and Luke McCaffrey to swap jerseys at the end of MNF. First game they've ever played in together.

Here are some quotes from Ben Rich, formally CEO of Lockhead Martin Skunkworks, about the tech that's so obviously being hidden from us at this point. 1. “The Air Force has just given us a contract to take ET back home” (source: 1993 WPAFB slide presentation) 2. “We already have the means to travel among the stars, but these technologies are locked up in black projects and it would take an act of GOD to ever get them out to benefit humanity” (source: statement made after UCLA presentation to three Disclosure Project witnesses) 3. “Jim, we have things out in the desert that are fifty (50) years beyond what you could possibly comprehend. If you have seen it on Star Wars or Star Trek, we’ve been there done that, or decided it was not worth the effort” (Source: direct comments by Ben Rich to Jim Goodall via telephone call at the USC medical center approximately one week before Ben passed away on January 5th 1995) 4. “We have some new things. We are not stagnating. What we are doing is updating ourselves, without advertising. There are some new programs, and there are certain things-some of them 20 or 30 years old-that are still break-throughs and appropriate to keep quiet about. Other people don’t have them yet. (source: statement made by Ben Rich to Stuart F. Brown in an interview published in Popular Science October 1994) 5. “I wish I could tell you about the projects we are currently working on. They are both fascinating and fantastic. They call for technologies once only dreamed of by science fiction writers”. (source: AIAA lecture Atlanta, Ga. September 7-9 1988) Credit - blit_blit99 on reddit.
