I can't believe this @YouTube has just removed a video of mine. You judge for yourself. YouTube says I show "a list displaying client contact information including phone numbers and home addresses" But clearly the details are fake, which they are. 555 area code - come on.
In my video on the Xiaomi XRING O3 piped.video/0Li3nafjVRE I guess that the new CPU is the successor to the Arm C1 because of the O3 has two SME2 units, but the C1 series only has one. However I just analysed the die shot and I could be wrong.
That implies three sets of CPUs, clearly set 1 is the largest, next set 2, and so on. Some leakers online are suggesting 2x C1-Ultra, 4x C1-Prem, 4x C1-Pro.
What confuses me is that Xiaomi specifically said it was 6+4 in their presentation. Technically the C1-Ultra and C1-Prem use the same microarchitecture, so you could group them together as a 6 (made from 2+4).
Xiaomi has launched it latest in-house smartphone processor, the XRING O3. It includes a new GPU called the G2-Ultra NX, likely Arm's successor to the G1-Ultra, that includes new NX neural accelerators. piped.video/0Li3nafjVRE
OpenAI has published a blog post about how GPT-5.6 is being used to autonomously rewrite its own GPU kernels, the core code that executes the mathematical operations that make up the model: piped.video/TRsuF95Boi4
OpenAI has admitted that its models caused an "unprecedented cyber incident" by breaking out of its sandbox so that it could hack "Hugging Face's production infrastructure to obtain test solutions directly from Hugging Face's production database." piped.video/uqL9FZa8abM
The Linux file system Btrfs includes several cool features including snapshots. You can use snapshots as part of your backup strategy and when combined with RAID then you are on the right path to fully protecting your data: piped.video/22cj8WnAqdA
PSA: All the Linux users ranting and raving about the Windows Globally Unique Identifier (GDID), go look in /etc/machine-id and tell me what you find. Also check out my script that shows you lots of globally unique data from your machine: github.com/garyexplains/exam…
The /etc/machine-id file contains the unique machine ID of the local system that is set during installation or boot. The machine ID is usually generated from a random source during system installation and stays constant for all subsequent boots.
We’ve received notice that the Department of Commerce has lifted export controls on Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5.
We'll begin restoring access tomorrow, and will share an update soon.
We’re grateful to our users for their patience, and to everyone who worked with us on redeploying the models.
I hope to make a video about this soon... I got a sequence in the OEIS oeis.org/A396572 - Number of distinct states before repetition for a circular array of n distinct elements under repeated adjacent XOR operations. 🤓
If you run a local LLM there are some interesting parameters that control creativity and craziness! In this video, I explain the key parameters that control how local large language models generate text, including temperature, top-k, top-p, etc: piped.video/MkaazQttbpc
So it looks like @YouTube has gone bananas. I got a demonetization notice for a video about how to make a Windows app go full screen. I show VLC and how to make it fullscreen. There is a movie playing but only the @UniversalPics logo is actually shown. @YouTubeCreators
