Born and raised in Gainesville (ACR). data scientist working in a boring industry, so doing this on my free time, not affiliated with the university.

Man, if Auburn can beat Georgia here, we’re going to have one of the biggest transitive Circles of Chaos in a while.

Also, if the power ratings above overrate the SEC, how did the SEC outperform what those same ratings predicted before the season? In fact, the SEC outperformed its preseason predictions more than any other conference.

I have zero issue with the big 10 making claims about being the best. I might disagree, but there are good arguments on both sides But the ACC??? Lol give me a break.

🚨SEC fanbase Toxicity Index Update 🚨 I went back and added more historical data to address small sample size (back 2021) Analyzing profanity, insults, hostile language, and negativity across SEC team subreddits, LSU remains on top. Below has each SEC team's toxicity score through 2026 season (as you can imagine, toxicity spikes during losses).
🚨 SEC Fanbase Toxicity Index 🚨 The index equally weights profanity, insults, hostile language, negativity toward rivals, and abusive comments. 100 = SEC average. I used natural language processing (NLP) to analyze thousands of reddit comments across all 16 SEC team subreddits this season. Proud of my Gators for not being the most toxic 🐊

Just to be clear. I highly doubt LSU is really any more toxic than other SEC fan bases (excluding Vanderbilt, they seem pretty chill). What’s fun for me, is just seeing how toxicity increases and decreases with game outcomes.

For the ACC fans SHOCKED i could say such a thing. Since 2018 the SEC has the best head-to-head record against other Power 4 conferences, with a winning record against each. Meanwhile, the ACC has the worst record (71-114), with a losing record against each.
Just a reminder that the AVERAGE SEC team would be a legitimate contender for the ACC championship every year.

Through 7 games, 2026 Florida is the most volatile (y axis) Gator team since 1970 Team quality vs. consistency (std dev of game ratings). Which Florida team will show up today?

It’s injury report purgatory. He’s just been lingering there for weeks, it’s driving me nuts.
Florida star WR Vernell Brown has been probable on the injury report this week and the Gators remain optimistic he will return Saturday against Georgia, sources tell @On3. Has not played since Sept. 26 in the win over Ole Miss. on3.com/news/college-footbal…

Notre Dame is by far the least penalized team among P4 programs. Are they getting a favorable whistle or just that much more disciplined of a team?
Update through week 8: flags per game broken down by flag type. Vandy and Florida are the most penalized teams in the SEC. Kentucky and Georgia are the least penalized.

Still a small sample size for Miss State - not much reddit activity. Probably means they are the coolest fanbase
