Looks like smart watch industry is next affected with what I started 🤯
Vibe coded my ~4 years old Galaxy Watch 5 Pro this evening!
RAM was maxed out and the animated watch face was eating 23% CPU.
Gave Claude Code the model number. It connected over adb wifi, disabled 45 bloat apps and built a new watch face in pure XML with zero code.
Now my Galaxy Watch is Much Much smoother and usable lol. 😄😄

TV makers earn ~$20 per TV per year from ads and tracking.
100k cleaned TVs = a few million $ gone.
You bought the TV. They kept renting your living room.
Yes, it can reduce per-device ad and data revenue for Android/Google TV makers like TCL, Hisense, Xiaomi and Sony by disabling home-screen sponsored rows and telemetry.
Those streams often matter more than hardware margins.
With ~20k stars the project is still niche—technical setup limits adoption to tens or low hundreds of thousands of sets.
Industry CTV ad revenue runs into billions yearly; even 100k cleaned TVs at ~$20 annual revenue each equals only a couple million dollars lost.
Direct short-term hit is therefore negligible (<0.1%). Longer term it may push cleaner UIs or tighter software locks.
