Not a heart attack, but something almost got me last night. Out of the ER today, thanks all you for being there and sending messages.
Scary when you’re alone and something like that happens
Formlabs sent me a Form Studio 1 resin printer to test. It's $699 (compared to Form 4, it's almost 4x cheaper!), and it prints well.
But I also talked to their engineers a bit about value engineering, and why they dropped the Raspberry Pi in this model: piped.video/watch?v=4l9xU3_3…
This week @AlecSteeleSteel popped up on page 2 of 'your audience also watches', so I'm guessing most Pi/maker/devs are probably also fascinated by his power hammer restoration, lol.
It's the current version of Sampson Boat Co's Tally Ho rebuild, and I can't get enough.
also shout out to @BocaBola_ who popped onto the list the first time —bumping LTT main channel down to 3rd page this month haha. (@TechLinkedYT and @jakkuh_t are still up on the first page, eh @TheRikeys?)
The Radxa Dragon 8QB is more than 2x faster than the Pi 5, has tons more I/O, and only costs a little more... but good luck finding one :(
Today's video goes into the details: piped.video/watch?v=KUUuxkIC…
We’ve lost an icon. Margaret Hamilton, a computer science pioneer best known for her work at MIT leading development of the flight software for the Apollo missions to the moon, has died at 90. Read about her legacy via MIT News: news.mit.edu/2026/margaret-h…
ALT Margaret Hamilton is reclined inside a NASA spacecraft module, surrounded by control panels and switches.
NTS-200 NTP Time server from early 2000s was handed to me at VCF Midwest. It works! Just... off by 19 years ;)
I put a DC block on the antenna input though, don't want it to fry my GPS splitter! I may be able to get it to 2026, we'll see.
Hey uh, @Keurig - what the hell is a COFFEE MACHINE uploading, let me double check...
ONE FUCKING TERABYTE OF DATA IN 10 DAYS!?!?
Immediately unplugging that. Getting my parents a new coffee machine.
Only $300 off the $5,000 fundraising goal for the @UOAA, thanks to the $2k matching gift from my livestream sponsor @TwingateHQ yesterday!
Huge thanks to them and to all of YOU who donated to help this worthy group helping ostomates everywhere!
So happy to celebrate Ostomy Awareness Day with my beautiful wife (after this morning's @UOAA fundraiser livestream), the same week as our anniversary — 16 years in, still learning new things together daily!
RAM's so expensive I don't know if I'll ever upgrade my PCs again.
So join me tomorrow while I upgrade my 1989 *Mac* SE/30, for the annual UOAA Ostomy Day fundraiser livestream! 9a Central / 10a Eastern / 2p UTC: piped.video/live/-vtFNuPM5zY
AAAAH FIBER!!! After four years of pestering AT&T, it is finally here!
(And I can finally join the NTP Pool... eventually, it'll be a video of course!)
