Create. Curate. Iterate. // Thinkable Desktop Studio A modular tangible thinking space for creative work. Work on ideas without distraction, stay focused and in creative flow. // How it works To start, throw every productivity rule out the window - it destroys the creative process. Creativity and productivity exist on a spectrum and when you do one, it costs you the other. Welcome to the messy middle. Thinkable is a place where you can visualize your thoughts and ideas and then keep them in sight, top of mind, and in reach. Where you can effortlessly iterate, synthesize and collaborate with yourself, while expanding your mind, creative field of view and explore your ideas. // Why should you listen to me? I’ve done a lot of design, both physical and digital. Everything you see at thinkable I’ve crafted - ID / brand / copy / web / product / artwork / photography / film. Judge the work, it’s opinionated. I even spent a year writing a book on the topic (of Tangible Thinking). // coming soon. Sign up for the Kickstarter announcement. Link in bio.

There needs to be a new street. Main Street Wall Street Bro Street? Tech Street? Slop Street?

my universal framework of design productecture.com

Humans are now the Interface. In the age of intelligence, products need to meet us where we're at. This means we still need rich interfaces, artifacts to grasp. We need systems to learn us, and we still need control. I wrote most of these in early February. So many of these still hold true. This doesnt surprise me. Designers / Builders let me know what you think.

Just in, a small town inherited a machine that could make anything. The baker made shirts, the tailor made shoes, and the shoemaker made bread. The shirts tore after a few wears, the bread was hard as a rock, and the shoes caused bunions. After a few weeks everyone was out of a job, and just bought everything from Walmart.

My story lives through what I design.

It's rare that we get a chance to do something we truly believe in. And when you do, you want to share it with everyone. In my own words.

Creativity = Analog + HI Productivity = Digital + AI - The Thinkable Desktop Studio is your analog creative computer. Step away from your screens to think deeply. Capture atomically and optimize for divergent thinking.

The Analog Creative Computer: If apple designed one – it might look like this The Desktop Studio acts as the display, apps & storage. You are the CPU - the human intelligence & intuition behind ideas, and creative breakthroughs. The human brain has 2.5 petabytes of storage and processes 50,000 thoughts per day. The conscious brain has a 500-600 ms response, but the unconscious brain has a 50 ms response rate – by the time you are conscious of something, your body has already reacted to it through primitive neural networks. - The Thinkable Desktop Studio is patent-pending, premium instrument for thinking, which enhances your creativity through ergonomic design and cognitive science principles. It is a distraction-free space for thinking and creating. And its launching soon! -sanj 🚀 Thinkable Desktop Studio - Kickstarter coming soon. Parent Proof Design Designing a simple product is one of the hardest things to do, as you really need to know exactly what's needed by your audience. Complexity is easy - AI creates it automatically. Simplicity - not to be confused by minimalism - is one of the hardest things to create. So I opt to design for Simplexity the simplest form of complex. And when I design for users, I focus on parents, specifically, "parents-with-young-kids. This objectively translate to users who: 1. Are under high stress 2. Are dealing with time-sensitive issues 3. Are cognitively pre-occupied 4. Have short attention spans 5. Constantly task switching 6. Managing multiple competing responsibilities 7. Have little time for bs Those of us who have young children remember the high stress of mornings. Designing something useful, simplex, and can be parent-proof is not easy.
