The level of greed, disloyalty, dishonesty & blatant self interest on display from these LIV guys is both hilarious & tragic. They seem to possess zero self-awareness of how this all looks. Quite a trick to be disloyal to the Tour(s) that made you AND the one you left it for
Louis Oosthuizen, captain of the all South African Southern Guards GC on the LIV Golf League has announced he will not commit to LIV Golf 2.0 Speaking to the South China Morning Post ahead of the Link Hong Kong Open, Louis said: “It’s time to move on… It’s a lot of international travel for single events.” He then went on to talk about getting himself ready to compete at St Andrews next year for The Open: “I’ve had some success at majors, but you work and play to have a sniff of that again. I’m at a different stage of my golfing life (from when he won The Open) but it’s pretty sweet when you still get called the Open Champion. “I hope to get my body and my game in a place next year (to be able to compete in majors)… the Open is at a course I love and where I’ve won. The goal is to get my game as sharp as possible, to have myself ready, then see how it goes.” League sources have told me Southern Guards GC was one franchise where the leadership were originally expecting all players to commit to the new enterprise if it happens, so this will be a huge blow if Louis does move on. Best listen in golf, bar none. Could listen to Butch forever. Absolute legend. And get that man in the Golf Hall of Fame this year, it’s a travesty he’s not.
Butch Harmon joined the pod for a wide-ranging conversation on one of the most interesting golf careers of all time. We touch on his time coaching Tiger, Phil, Greg Norman and a ton of great stories. Available now. Presented by @Titleist.

How much equity in the $1 billion team value of the Stingers is he leaving on the table? And does this mean Burmy and Hot Charl get the rights to the Rhino Jive? #LIVGolf
LIV has lost another team captain. Louis Oosthuizen announced that he will be returning to the DP World Tour in a move he calls “The hardest decision of his professional career.”

“It’s time to move on… It’s a lot of international travel for single events.” The lack of loyalty to the idea, the “grow the game” they banged on about for 4 years is shocking* *Not shocking. They went to LIV for the bag. The money’s gone, they’re gone. The end.

But it is now also expected that Branden Grace and Dean Burmester will not commit to LIV Golf 2.0. It’s been reported multiple times already, but so many players are leaving that I just don’t see how LIV Golf 2.0 can possibly fill the fields next year. Image courtesy of @asiantourgolf

The Ben James ascension is meteoric.
The pick is in. 👀 We’re proud to officially welcome Ben James as the fifth player on the LAGC roster. Our lineup just got stronger.

Pure self indulgent fantasy. Chacarra was going to make it whichever route he took. It’s a tribute to HIM that the instant income from LIV didn’t dull his motivation to be the best player in the world. And he was sure to get out before it did. Unlike others.
The knowledge gained under the guidance of Sergio and Fireballs GC is unparalleled. When he netted his first win at #LIVGolf Bangkok, Eugenio was quick to credit them. 6 wins now. Each a statement for his belief in the LIV Golf system, and the system’s belief in him. Love this.

Shot 21 under and beat a good field “with his B game”. Some on Tour are really going to dislike this absolute stone cold killer!
"I am tired, it's been three days of 3:45am to go to the gym. But we fought it, I didn't have my best, but to win with my B-game and not feeling great gives me a lot of motivation to keep going as we're obviouslty doing the right things! "I played for @OU_MGolf and without them I couldn't be where I am. I'm very grateful." Eugenio Chacarra visits The Locker Room, presented by @DP_World after winning at Delhi Golf Club. #DPWIC

This lad just rubber stamped his card on the PGATour.
Dan Hillier birdies his 72nd hole of the week and shoots a final round 67 to take the clubhouse lead at -19 💪 #DPWIC

Things have gone south. At one point Eddie Pepperell was T5 but a double bogey at 10 means he’s down to T50. A very poor weekend tbh. Still up 2 spots to #98 but barring a crazy hot finish he will absolutely need to play in Korea and do enough there to save his full Tour card.
Sadly, Eddie is stuck in neutral today. Dropped to T38 and still clinging to #98 but really could use a good finish now to squeeze out maximum points.

After a disappointing +2 74 in R3, Eddie has slipped back to T31 and is only up 1 spot to #98. To secure his card will likely need a top 20 which may require something like a -4 68 today. Anything less and he may need to play Korea.

When are you going to listen @SkySportsGolf ? Why do you continually piss off your paying viewers?
This continuity announcer with ever DP event is really tiresome! Get straight back to commentary.

Legit the last time we ever see the Fireballs together is at a wedding. Wild, wild times in pro golf. Shout out Luis Masaveu’s magnificent eyebrows.

Interviewing pro golfers from behind a bush is definitely the way forward. Bit random but let’s mix shit up, it’s 2026.

Halfway through Round 3, after starting just 4 behind Chacarra, Rory McIlroy is absolutely stinking up the joint and is now 12 back. Maybe he’s got Delhi belly. Playing like this, Monty’s OOM record is safe, for this year at least. #DPWIC

Holy provisionals. 88 & 84 to miss the cut by 28 shots! Did they make Dylan Naidoo play at DLF instead? 😳 @sam_golf @BenColeyGolf

Curious that Marco Penge isn’t entered. At #110 in the rankings I would have expected him to play every #PGATOUR Fall Series event until his card is locked up. 4 events remaining after this…
The Butterfield Bermuda Championship is set to be played for the eighth time. The field includes five past champions: Brendon Todd (2019) Seamus Power (2022) Camilo Villegas (2023) Rafa Campos (2024) Adam Schenk (2025)
