I feel very happy tonight as I was able to take my girlfriend on a nice holiday for her 40th but there was a time I wasn't able to do this...
I genuinely struggle to admit this, but one day we got into an argument about what loaf of bread to buy.
The difference was only a few pence, but I grew up poor, so the difference in price felt like a lot.
It caused us to have a massive argument, but thankfully we made up soon after.
Tonight we were able to enjoy a meal in an exclusive restaurant and I didn't have to worry about paying for the extras they offered us.
This isn't because I'm filthy rich, but I'm comfortable now.
I wasn't particularly well educated, school didn't suit me, but the reason I was able to get here is by reading books / listening to audio books.
I know this isn't new advice, as everybody knows books can educate you, but a lot of people don't do it.
I don't expect a lot of people to see this post, but if you're ambitious and have big plans, follow
@DanielPriestley and read his books.
If you can't afford his books, buy them second hand and watch his free content.
I've read lots of business books, and followed lots of 'gurus,' but his content is by far the best.
He distills down a lot of the stuff that took me years to figure out, without the BS.
If there's any ambitious people reading this, genuinely follow him and consume his content.
It changed my life for the better.
Also, I have no affiliation with Daniel, I've never met the guy or spoken to him.
However, I genuinely believe he gives the best advice to people who wish to start a business and build a better life for themselves.
A good place to start is by getting a copy of his book called Oversubscribed, especially if you want to start a business.
