Ok I listened via audio and you guys all talked about the pink shirt but I underestimated the pink shirt.

“If you’re defending you’re losing. Any second that you’re spending responding to someone else’s frame is a wasted second of your opportunity to be on offense advancing your frame.” The brilliant @zamosta is no longer active on Twitter, but I convinced him to come on @greatchatpod! We dissect some of the epic Twitter drama from the past week: Valar versus Day One, Factory versus Cognition, Kelly Clarkson versus the keepers of the mechanical bird. And then also tackle some bigger issues, like why does tech suck at telling its story to audiences behind tech? No punches were pulled.

I architect launches for a living, and I don’t think attention is the moat. I just listened to @helen_min & @ashleymayer on @greatchatpod break down the current state of the launch moment and I agree, we have reached a period where we've gotten really good at this and some launches absolutely crush, but attention is absolutely not the moat. Creating belief is the moat. You can apparently hire these very cringe agencies that will help you buy engagement for your launch and get 1M views and 5k retweets on your expensive video, but it’s now anti-signal. You can smell the stink of it from a mile away. Also, too much awareness can now be reductive to your reputation (see: Corgi, others). Engagement maxxxing is truly not the way. Stirring up any generic attention is not the goal of a well-architected launch. The goal is to make the most important audiences to your business *feel something.* To make them sense a shift and have them believe that shift is becoming reality because you exist and you’re solving a problem that you’re uniquely positioned to solve. Attention will only get you so far. The real alpha is in creating belief. episode worth the listen! podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

Waiting for this one to drop

Next @greatchatpod is basically a long version of this tweet cc @helen_min

An overcorrection that will be studied for years: "If you build it, they will come" turned into "attention is all you need" 🥴 @ashleymayer and I play Goldilocks on this week's @greatchatpod - tune in tomorrow!

We literally just did a @greatchatpod episode on this very important topic!

THIS. Culture doesn't have to wait on museums or City Hall. It lives in restaurants, venues, galleries, and shops. Started @newentityco to move tech wealth into exactly that. Talked about it on @greatchatpod: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…
