The world's first secure touchscreen hardware wallet.
Complete solutions for secure signing, key storage, and backups.
Engineered and manufactured in the USA.
3/ The mesh encloses the secure electronics, including the screen you rely on to review and approve transactions.
The secure and networked environments exchange messages through a size-limited mailbox chip. Only one side can connect to it at a time.
1/ Buying a hardware wallet should not mean learning to spot a hidden implant.
Supply chain attacks belong in the security model. GridPlus has built defenses against them into the Lattice1 since its 2020 launch. Here's how.
The attack surface is actually more limited with the Lattice1: there are isolated communication and secure environments in the same enclosure.
It also prevents against key extraction when the attacker has physical possession, not just remote attacks.

A seed phrase is not a password you can reset.
If someone gets those 12–24 words, they can recover your wallet and move your funds. No legitimate service will ever ask for it.
Store it securely.
Keep it offline.
Treat it like the most sensitive credential you have.
Stop relying on words scribbled on a piece of paper - your wallet backup should be just as secure as the wallet itself.
GridPlus SafeCards are the safest way to store your seed phrase thanks to physical unclonable function (PUF) chips that provide the strongest secret storage mechanism available.
Tired of clicking through tiny screens and still not being sure what you're actually signing? 🧐
Put the magnifying glass away. With the Lattice1's 5-inch touchscreen, you get full transaction details on one screen.
Security, made simple.

A hardware wallet's screen is the feature that does the most to help you protect your crypto.
Billions in losses result from users willingly signing something misleading, not hackers remotely stealing your keys. A secure screen reveals what you're actually approving.
GridPlus Lattice1 and SafeCards store your seed phrase as an encrypted backup inside secure hardware. Want to see how it works?
In this video, our friend @ProDJKC demonstrates how to back up, copy, restore, and manage SafeCard wallets with your Lattice1.

🔥Lattice1 Firmware v0.18.9 is live!🔥
This update includes an expansion on Bitcoin XPUB support (you can now work with the XPUB of all supported BTC address formats - xpub, ypub and zpub) and also added support for Ethereum EIP-7702.
The GridPlus Lattice1 and SafeCards make seed phrase backups simple, fast, and secure. They store an encrypted copy of your seed phrase along with your keys, which you can recall by entering your secret PIN.
See how simple it is in this tutorial video.

It doesn’t do any good to protect your keys if you can’t see what you’re signing.
2025 crypto hacks aren’t about remotely stealing your keys: it's about tricking you into clicking “approve.”
Hardware wallets with secure screens show what you’re really signing, with certainty.
Every Lattice1 now comes with 3 free SafeCards!
Each SafeCard stores a set of private keys and an encrypted copy of your seed phrase. This gives you class-leading security for unlimited accounts without the need to buy more than one hardware wallet.
How do you manage and back up multiple wallets without writing down a single seed phrase?
SafeCards give you simple, secure control of every wallet you own.
Our friend @ProDJKC walks you through the setup in this quick demo.📺👇

🚨Once more: if you've stored your seed phrase in LastPass, immediately move assets to a fresh wallet.

We've seen a few recent comments like "I'd buy a Lattice1 hardware wallet if they accepted crypto payments."
Thankfully, we have since launch via @CommerceCB which accepts hundreds of cryptocurrencies at checkout.
No need for a Coinbase account, just connect your wallet.
2/ • The malware enabling the exploit was deployed via a Docker container installed on the Safe developer's computer.

The Lattice1 communicates with paired devices via an end-to-end encrypted channel over WiFi.
However, the secure enclave where your keys are stored is isolated from the outside world as it's in a separate electrical environment behind a multiplexer we call the Mailbox.
7/ Here's a comparison of the actual malicious signing payload vs a normal Safe transfer as displayed on the Lattice1.
One signer reviewing the recipient address would have revealed the mismatch.
The optional address tags used in the example make it even easier to spot.
6/ GridPlus introduced hardware Clear Signing to the world in January 2021 to address this specific vulnerability.
Early HW wallets were designed around Bitcoin. Later revisions of those products still struggle to display smart contract signing requests as in the Bybit case.
4/ This was made possible by blind signing: approving a blockchain signing request without seeing or understanding its details.
Software wallet signing requests must be compared against an independent device's secure screen to ensure they haven't been modified by attackers.
1/ GridPlus hardware wallets could have helped prevent the $1.5 billion Bybit hack.
The exploit depended entirely on the assumption that the signers' HW wallets could not display what they were approving.
The Lattice1 shows the recipient address was replaced by an attacker's.
Cutting and pasting crypto addresses exposes you to clipboard attacks where malware replaces the address.📋
Address labels on your Lattice1 hardware wallet are convenient and help keep you safe: if you see a hex string instead of your label, you instantly know not to proceed. 🔐
Private key management is confusing even for blockchain developers.
That's why we made SafeCards: so you can easily and securely generate and store private keys and encrypted seed phrases.
SafeCards make managing multiple wallets and backups as simple as a few screen taps.
The crazy thing is that even after I make people swear to not stick their private keys in plain text, we still get sent GitHub repos to audit with private keys in plain text.
I don’t know what I need to do.
Lattice1 firmware version v0.18.6 is live!
