Tapping into dance as an alternative to talking therapies for dissociation, very proud of this huge labour of love with @merrittmillman, @DevinTerhune and Elaine Hunter.
Thrilled that this paper is now out 💃🏻🧠 This work was the heart of my PhD and has been my central research question from day 1. Can #dancemovementtherapy reduce dissociative symptoms in #depersonalizationderealizationdisorder ? The answer is, yes! doi.org/10.1016/j.ctcp.2023.… 1/5

New paper w/ @LinthoutTilia & @guidorgs! We applied freq tagging to apparent movement sequences to separate body and movement processing and find that movement perception requires a well-defined but not a human shape, whereas body perception requires both: academic.oup.com/scan/advanc…
