Ali and I talk about Phase 1 of Operation Dawn of Yemen and where this war may be heading in Phase 2 and beyond. We also talk about the impact of this war to the Saudi economy and Vision 2030 as well as how this impacts the MJDA and the conspiracies to sabotage the alliance so that it never stands on its legs now that the powers-that-be have failed in preventing it from coming into existence. Please do watch and share!
In this episode with Shahab Siddiqi, we break down the escalating situation in Yemen following targeted attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Abha. @hashurtag piped.video/jgtdIWU5-GI

Absolutely heartbreaking to watch this Yemeni gentleman in tears because of Houthi atrocities in Taiz. This could easily be any one of us. He could easily be the father or uncle of any of us. Yet resistards will ignore his pain or, worse, justify it because "muh resistance".
An elderly Yemeni man cries as he recounts how the Houthis have been killing and wounding people in his neighbourhood, sparing no one, not even women, children, the elderly, palm trees or even livestock.

How good was this? PAF was able to show hard evidence of their soft kills. Redirecting missiles into open lands and making them miss their intended targets. Pak military’s May 2025 conflict briefings were some of the best we have seen by any military in any conflict of this scale.

How about you also stop firing at merchant ships and tankers? We cannot have dialogue under threats and blockades imposed by your armed forces unilaterally. You guys are firing at CIVILIAN ships. If you are so into resistance then bomb the US Navy. Have some shame!

Mohammed Abdul Salam, the official spokesman for the Houthis, claims that he travelled to Saudi Arabia in early 2015 and reassured King Abdullah about the situation in #Yemen, telling him that the movement’s actions were not directed against Saudi Arabia. He argues that the real pretext for Saudi intervention in Yemen emerged only after King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman came to power. This argument, however, contains a major historical fallacy. From the very beginning, the Houthis’ revolutionary and ideological rhetoric included inflammatory messages targeting Saudi Arabia. In 2009, Houthi fighters repeatedly infiltrated Saudi border areas along the Yemeni frontier. Even Al-Masirah, the Houthis’ official television channel, broadcast statements and speeches threatening Saudi Arabia. The movement portrayed its revolution as an effort to overthrow what it described as US and Israeli agents in the region, foremost among them the Saudi royal family. Houthi rhetoric also called for the recovery of Najran, Jizan, and Asir, which the movement claimed were Yemeni territories. What further escalated tensions, and what Riyadh viewed as a direct security threat, was the Houthis’ military expansion after seizing the capital, Sana’a, and advancing into southern Yemen. On 12 March 2015, the Houthis conducted a large-scale military exercise near the Saudi border, involving thousands of fighters and a range of weapons, including medium and heavy arms. Saudi Arabia viewed these manoeuvres as a direct threat to its national security. This was one of the factors preceding the launch of Operation Decisive Storm on 25 March 2015, following the failure of mediation and de-escalation efforts with the Houthis.

No reaction from the US yet on Pak-Iran meeting. The silence from all sides is eerie. In past negotiation cycles we have seen the journalist community share excitement (MOU agreement) and disappointment (JD Vance unsuccessful visit) right after such meetings. This time there is pin-drop silence. Nothing from @CaitlinDoornbos either who was very good with giving us a feeler for the mood after such negotiations.

There is a significant difference in the body language of Pezeshkian and Razaei in meeting with Asim Munir. Shows there is a major conflict within the leadership of Iran regarding US-Iran negotiations. Pezeshkian, Araghchi group want peace, lesser dead bodies. Razaei wants chaos.
Seems like they love Asim's company & invite him to have "chelo kabab" together.

🇪🇬🇬🇷🇱🇾🇹🇷 Libya’s House of Representatives voted unanimously Tuesday to approve the 2019 maritime boundary agreement with Turkey, reversing its longstanding opposition to the deal. Lawmakers also repealed two resolutions adopted in 2020: one rejecting the maritime and security agreements with Ankara, and another severing political ties with Turkey. The vote came exactly two weeks after lawmakers replaced longtime Speaker Aguila Saleh with Al-Salhin Abdulnabi al-Obeidi on October 6. The agreement had remained unratified throughout Saleh’s tenure. A longtime opponent of the deal, Saleh maintained close ties with Egypt and Greece, both of which reject the agreement over its implications for maritime rights in the eastern Mediterranean.
