NEW: A hacker used autonomous AI agents to breach more than 100 websites, including those linked to Deere, SharkNinja, and Cummins, Reuters reported. The agents carried out more than 1,100 attack projects for an estimated total cost of $5,000, according to cybersecurity firm NorForge.

THE LATENT: Jessica Rusu, the UK's FCA chief data, information and intelligence officer, called on AI providers to introduce clearer disclaimers about financial information and advice generated by ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI models. Rusu cited figures showing that only 40% of consumers recognize they have no recourse if something goes wrong after acting on advice from a general-purpose AI tool.

THE BLOCK: DeFi Development Corp. $DFDV added 3,983 SOL and solana:So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112 equivalents over the past week, bringing its total holdings to approximately 2.59 million SOL. The Nasdaq-listed firm also plans to raise its CHAD preferred stock annual dividend rate from 13% to 14% on Nov. 2, following Solana's scheduled Alpenglow upgrade on Oct. 21.

THE BLOCK: Super League shareholders approved proposals related to Metaplanet's planned investment of 2,100 bitcoin:native and $2.5 million in cash. The Nasdaq-listed company is set to be renamed Superplanet and become Metaplanet's U.S. bitcoin treasury platform, with the deal expected to close in Q4.

THE BLOCK: Strive $ASST acquired an additional 1,223 bitcoin:native for approximately $100 million at an average price of $81,734 per bitcoin. The purchase brings its total holdings to 36,818 BTC, according to CEO Matt Cole.

THE BLOCK: Strategy $MSTR acquired another 267 bitcoin:native for $22.1 million at an average price of $82,900 per bitcoin, bringing its total holdings to 848,517 BTC. The company also repurchased $193.1 million of $STRC preferred stock and increased its digital credit securities buyback authorization to $3 billion.

NEW: BlackRock sees tokenized funds expanding into traditional financial markets as collateral, Bloomberg reported. Executives said the next challenge is integrating tokenized assets into existing banking and settlement systems.

THE LATENT: OpenAI is rolling out GPT-Live-1.1 with 13 new voices and improved multilingual performance across ChatGPT, Codex, and dots. OpenAI said the update improves voice steerability and delegation, while introducing more varied phrases during searches.

NEW: Some Anthropic investors are weighing a $1.5 trillion IPO valuation, down 25% from earlier expectations of $2 trillion, Reuters reported. The reassessment follows a slowdown in quarterly revenue growth despite sales reaching $16.8 billion.

THE BLOCK: Coinbase and Marqeta are expanding their existing partnership to enable stablecoin-backed payment cards for enterprise customers. Coinbase will provide custody and fiat conversion, with Base handling onchain settlement, while Marqeta manages card issuance and processing.

NEW: Global digital asset investment products have seen $434 million in outflows so far this week, according to CoinShares. The firm's research head James Butterfill pointed to hotter U.S. inflation and increasingly hawkish Federal Reserve expectations as pressures on bitcoin bitcoin:native and broader crypto markets.

THE BLOCK: Lightning Labs introduced LayerTree, a proposed Bitcoin $BTC scaling solution designed to let up to 1 million users share a single UTXO. The non-custodial design connects to Lightning but requires Bitcoin protocol changes before deployment.
